Maroon is tough dude, pretty good at hockey too. - mdw7413
I have a buddy that is very good friends with him, through roller hockey. They were both in Florida (for different reasons) recently and my friend was telling me that Maroon kept saying that McDavid and all the kids are the biggest pussies and are so afraid of getting in trouble that they don't do anything, or something to that effect.
I've hung out with Maroon's brother before, who is (or at least used to be) a total savage.

Better to watch the p's and q's as a touted rookie. Especially McDavid. Could you imagine the media storm if he was hanging with strippers or getting hammered.

I mean I don't totally blame them in this day and age. You're in the spotlight and it's hard to do a damn thing without 20 guys snapping pics/video on their cell phones.
Just funny to hear one of their teammates say it directly.
honestly Manning hung in there pretty good - mrn22
He landed a few nice punches, but Maroon dragging him all over the ice looked like a little girl dancing with her father and getting swung around by her arms.
Credit to Manning for not shying away from a bout with a big boy like Pat, but that didn't go so well for him.

did you catch the announcer say that was Mannings 5th fight this year??
You can't trade him this year, off season maybe. I still don't agree with the pounding he's getting, this guy is as gutsy and clutch as anyone we've had in a long time - Slimtj100
It's not a pounding. Its, you HELD OUT to get your 6.5 million dollar contract with a NTC. It's business, fine. But when your NTC is about to kick in and we have 2 cheaper, arguably better depending who you ask, younger centers, sorry, but it's business. I said in the last blog, over the summer I proposed Stepan+ for Dumba and Coyle and everyone jumped on me like I was nuts to trade Stepan for that. Minnesota didn't want to pay Dumba and Coyle was being seen as a disappointment, they offered us Dumba and a 1st for Stepan supposedly, now you couldn't get Coyle straight up for Stepan. If we can trade him (in the offseason) for a RHD and 3rd line center (maybe Murphy and Domi) and add w.e it takes to make that work, seeya.

OMG how many times can you possibly say the same thing

I didn't quite understand this, could you explain it again?

You talked to the gm of minny? How do you know all these details...
Step is great ALL AROUND (probably our best) player...people are so wrapped up in stats. 6.5 mill for him is maybe a little high, but aren't 90% of players overpaid slightly? You could most certainly give that money to a much worse player without question. Quite frankly, you need to have 3 centers in this league nowadays And His mom is hot too, so that's good haha. And he is turning into the next whipping boy because lord knows Ranger MUST have one of those to drill endlessly

Not saying they're exactly the same player by any means, but I'm curious to know what your thoughts on Patrice Bergeron are. Do you think his $8.5 million contract is cap well spent?

Never understood whipping on your own guys. These are the guys on my team and save for a few (Brashears) I will root vehemently for them until the final buzzer of the final game.

IM guilty of it with Nash, but I think rightfully so most of the time because it's the playoffs. But I hate it more then anything...Boyle sucked I get it...but holy crap you'd think he killed every fans first born kid. What I do is judge what I expect from a player, Step has not one time not met my expectations.
How many times are u going to keep defending him like he can do no wrong? - nyrangers9479
What does he do wrong? If your expecting 80-90 pts every year, that's your problem. HE is a two player and a damn good one, I don't know what your missing. Clutch and gutsy also.

There are deficiencies in every contract. There are some people who would rather this be like the NFL where you can just cut a player and the money is gone.
It can be argued that the going rate for a 50-60pt 2 way center is more than 6.5M
