10, 18...whatever.

What the (frank) was he doing just standing at the other side of the net, defending nothing? Zibanejad probably should have picked up Kulemin to be honest, but still.

Zibby was covering the ref. Kreider or Miller should have had Kulemin.

McDonagh had Tavares covered and Kreider (assuming that was his side) was doing the right thing by providing an extra man on the puck when you're on the man-advantage. It's the center's job to pick up the guy in the slot, but Miller probably should have recognized that Travelbanejad was caught down low and picked up Kulemin for him.

It was tough to keep count, what with the Islanders tossing guys into Greiss all night. I can't count that high, tbh.
- eichiefs9

The Stepan one was hilarious. Like TPC said he looked like a wet noodle.

Greiss was yelling at the ref. I think the ref said tell your defenseman to stop checking players into you.

Weight lost his mind a few times. But, Nash is like tinkerbell on skates sometimes haha. They only thing I thought was bad was it looked offside when zucc drew that penalty, therefore the penalty shouldn't have happen

Yeah, truthfully I'm pretty sure that the puck came out but it was a damn close replay. Not sure that would have been over-turned if it was a goal. I was pretty infuriated that they missed it and then ended up getting nailed for a penalty 2 seconds later but whatever, it happens.

best thing about last night is how solid Vesey looked, he looks like he is out of that "timid" faze he was in

I told you, Zibby had the ref!

But Yeah, normally would be the centers man, but it wasn't a bang bang play, Kreider or Miller should have realized Zib was behind the net and picked up the only other Islander left in the (frank)ing zone.

Hank also looked good I thought. Really couldn't blame him for any of those goals.

Burrows only comes here if this team makes multiple deadline moves, like 1994

Where would you put either one?

Would have to be 4th line. So is it really all that necessary?

If the team was built a little different I wouldn't mind it, but the top three lines have a ton of skill. Hell, you had Buch and Vesey rotating 4th line duty.

you need to see white between puck and line and I didnt. it has to be completly over and the edge looked like it was still scraping, tough call but it happens

I can let everything last night go, it was a bad game, Isles outplayed them.
But I have to ask.. WTF was McDonaugh thinking on the empty net goal?
did he not realize the goalie was pulled or does he think an NHL player cant shoot the puck into an empty net from 90-100 feet out? LOL

Ranger feed didn't show it again or if they did I missed it. It looked the puck carrier, I forget who, was waiting for a whistle briefly

You can't trade him this year, off season maybe. I still don't agree with the pounding he's getting, this guy is as gutsy and clutch as anyone we've had in a long time
- Slimtj100

Definitely offseason before his no trade kicks in, I'm only for improving the D at the deadline

I definitely agree some comments are definitely panic and irrational, but they also have to be separated from legitimate concerns. Hell I tend to be overly positive, but the way they played the Isles this year in that hippy infested dome would have me concerned in a playoff matchup. I want to see what happens next time at msg, before i really "panic".
mdw

looks like you have some of the same people the isles thread does, we lose 7 1 to toronto and all of a sudden it's "we cant make the playoffs", "this team is garbage played bad in a big game", "weight has lost the team". Now today after a win its playoffnbound again . People need to realize you're not going to win every game and there will be nights you're just off. 7 1 or 3 2 a loss in regulation is a loss move on. Rangers are locked in to the playoffs barring a mets like collapse so shouldn't be too worried. Hank looked good, all three goals there was nothing he could do about them, they were good plays or missed assignments. Heres a serious question, would you rather home ice in the playoffs and play pens or bj's, or take wc2 spot and play habs and then atlantic? I would want that 4 seed and let the metro beat each other up.

- Upstate_isles

Rather have the home ice with last change, now that Montreal has made a coaching change I don't take them as lightly as I did before

Price is super but they cannot score, be interesting to see what they do at deadline. Rangers are 4th in metro and are 5 points ahead of them, maybe they should just seed the teams 1-8 and let the top 8 in. Its plausible that isles or another metro team could have more points than the 3 seed in atlantic and miss playoffs
