I have seen Scott Arniel should be fired

I have seen Stepan and Zibinajed should be put on the 4th line

I have seen Marc Staal should be shot

- jimbro83

Send a message, he's done it for Kreider, Hayes and Miller in the past, those 2 are pretty damn bad of late

Getting frustrated as a fan is frowned upon but putting in the same lousy results against the Isles isn't

These games are playoff atmosphere and if we look like that come playoff time god help us, there's no excuses about health, team is fully healthy and should be a lot better on a CONSISTENT basis but that is always an issue, consistency from the likes of Stepan, Ziba, Kreider, Nash, all MIA in Brooklyn, this forward group should be running teams like the Caps are or maybe it is the coach and his system.

- KreiderBomb

I don't think you can lump Nash in that group Vin, he was in the dirty areas all night and one of the few players who was really hustling out there.

Speaking of hustling, Vesey has been eating his wheaties.

I definitely agree some comments are definitely panic and irrational, but they also have to be separated from legitimate concerns. Hell I tend to be overly positive, but the way they played the Isles this year in that hippy infested dome would have me concerned in a playoff matchup. I want to see what happens next time at msg, before i really "panic".

I Saw effort last night, that's not why they lost. It's like the go to pessimistic answer for a game when it's a loss. 5 minute brain fart is why they lost. And a bad news bearsnmoment on the PP. the power play is what actually cost them the game and what's funny is that's not even been mentioned at all

That's why we need Brian Boyle.
- Fenrir

The answer lies withing, this is the deepest forward group I can remeber and they just aren't getting enough out of a lot of them, we'll see come playoff time who should stay and who should go, I have my idea of who should go first but let's wait and see, juts go get 2 defensman, Clendening (frank)ing blows, Klein as bad as he's been should have been in that game last night

Vesey was great, carried that line, 4th line was the best line last night, can't have that against your "heated" rivals

PP sucks lately.

They stand around glued to their spots or dump it in with no speed. Rangers power play looks like the players in a bubble hockey game.

There was one dump in where Zucc put it in the far corner and it should have been Ziba chasing, Dehaan turned around and he hadn't even left the blue line

That was the one. I was laughing, all the Rangers at the blueline and the Islander was already clearing it.

Last night is all the more reason this team needs a spark. There's no reason to go crazy but you can't ignore the issues this team has. They need a defenseman. This team will not go far with its current D corps. they also need a player upfront that offers some edge. A player that offers some spark. This team has the most talented offense we have seen in years. its all there just some tinkering and this team can be a force. just need that Dman, that edgy player and some more damn motivation.

what kind of message do you want to send to Stepan, to try harder?

the guy was annihilated going to the net by Seidenberg, got right back up and won the next faceoff

he's not finishing, putting him on the 4th line is going to make him finish?

I am as frustrated as anyone when losing to the Islanders. I freaking hate it. But it is always more intense for the fans then for the players (except Chimera, but he is just a b!tch).

One of the qualities of this Rangers team under AV is it's even-keeled nature of not getting too high and not getting to low. A game against the Islanders is no different than a game against Anaheim. Right or wrong that is the mindset of this team. Overall I would think that it has been a strong attribute and has allowed the Rangers to come back from being down 3-1 in series twice. Will it work again is anybodies guess.

Bottom line he isn't producing, cause he took a hit into Griess he get's a pass? He earned his contract now he needs to keep earning it, what about all the draws he loses especially to start a PP?

'Isn't' producing and 'can't' produce are two vastly different things. I am fully confident he can still produce and will eventually do it again rather soon.

He's going through a slump dude. Where are you complaining when he goes through stretches piling on 15 points in 15 games at times?

He's not Sydney Crosby. He's gonna have 10+ game stretches where he doesn't produce at a PPG level. It's gonna happen with anyone and everyone. Miller went through a slump this year. Hayes did for a full (frank)ing year last season. Zibanejad (frank)ing blows right now too.

Hey he did it with Hayes and Miller, shouldn't it have been the same narrative? worked for them, they're both better than Step now

I believe you, I just can't honestly say that I knew that. I watch the Rangers a lot, but I don't always watch in-depth enough to pay attention to line combos.

If Stepan truly isn't producing, I could understand him being demoted to allow someone who is playing well to get a crack at a scoring role. But I think demoting him solely based on a slump is counter-productive. It depends on the availability of someone to step up and take over a scoring role, to me anyway. Just my two cents. I hope he sucks forever.

so vs Washington on Sunday, you want Derek Stepan to play 10 minutes on the 4th line, that's what you are saying

you want somebody else taking care of Nicklas Backstrom

In all fairness, he actually had a 71% FOW last night... 46% for the season though

Pump the brakes, those are far and few between, maybe once a season, for $6.5 he should be in the 60 point range but that's reaching potential, we can't have that on the Rangers, he's always been a great takeaway/giveaway ration guy, his inconsistent play this year reflects how those numbers have gone in the toilet
