Nothing but respect for Sid! he's the best player in the NHL in the new nhl game. I don't think Gretzky would have put up the same amount of points if he played in the nhl today. Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking anything away from the great 99 but Sid will go down as one of the best players to ever play the game not only because of his points total but his leadership and representation of the nhl. I've always had respect for the Pens; its a shame the 1000 point needed to come against my team but I'm proud of Sid and look forward to another 8-10 years of production from him!

You think Sid goes down as one of the top 5 players of all time?

I think you're confusing Sid with the all mighty Toews.

I think he's in the conversation. If he retired right now, he's top-10, including goalies.

Edit: Cups or not, you have to give consideration to OV. He's probably a top-3 goal scorer of all time and an absolute force physically.

Yeah like I said, with Kane, I think they got a real advantage because he missed most of the season. I dont think he was even on the opening night of the playoffs roster or if so it was his first game back.

Every article on the Kane injury is dated around February 25th, if that means anything

Yeah I just looked...he played 61 games that season. So I was wrong there. Could of swore it happened in first half of season. He only missed 21 games. Thats most likely less than Maatta will miss.

So now I'm even more LTIR confused...

What amazes me is he did it in less games than Jagr. Jags is a great, great player.

The penguins can go above the cap if they add a player which is almost a certainty at this point.
