What benefits the Flyers the most? Getting someone like Barzal or waiting 2 years to try and do it? I just think they benefit the most from getting Barzal than the first rounder might be worth. Not that it matters much because if they can get a pick they should. Didn't think there was a point to asking would you trade Schenn for Barzal and a 1st

Carolina has only played 53 games thus far. I had to peek into their schedule.

Starting on Feb 24th...Carolina will not have more than 1 day off in between games for the rest of the season...up to April 9th. 17 games in March.

smart thinking by Hextall to have him focus on what his role in the NHL will be. I would be shocked if he isn;t in the NHL next season. If not with the Flyers he would be claimed on waivers i would have to think

So it was interesting that you brought up Barzal because I'd been thinking about a deal for him for a little while. He's probably one of the more realistic trade targets based on Garth Snow's job status and their current playoff position. If the Islanders were open to Schenn for Barzal+first (I would even lottery protect it for this season if they wanted) then the Flyers should jump on that.

theyre a tricky team. their pieces are either worth an absolute ton or are complete trash

I'm watching jackets/pens and I'm seeing big and fast skaters or smaller skaters that are fast with skill. Teams with players that look to get to the net, and these players aren't swarmed upon immediately because they have a fear of the other team's breakaway ability.

The flyers don't have the horses to compete with them...plain and simple imo
