I literally said that the drama surrounding the "issue" is dumb. I have NO issue with Manning at all. You're the one moaning about a fight that was going to happen pretty much no matter what and calling out Maroon for fighting a guy who REGUARLY fights.

The price and term are massively different. We all knew G was a power play guy, exciting and fun to watch. I am not hockey knowledgable compared to people on this board, but I was a clear advocate to get the players and picks to set up the franchise. No way a huge deal for that term and that money.

Now, for the reason I came to these boards in the first place: is MDZ considered more of a defensive Dman now? The Oilers analyst said that early in the game and I called BS. While I haven't seen much of him in Philly, I find it impossible to believe that he's even close to that after his time in NY.

He's just been poopting the bed this year. Last year, he looked fantastic.

MDZ is tough to watch sometimes. He looks like he has every good hockey skill in the book, but can't seem to make it translate into on ice success.

Not to me. MN is playing better, therefore he plays. No different than last year when Mason was very good night in night out and they road him into the playoffs. Mason's play of late is subpar

Its not enough they are up 4-1 but to have the bigger guy jump him is pretty lame. McDavid is probably bigger than him, why didn't he just call him out.
Not that I'm fan of the all out brawls or even fighting, but its a shame in todays NHL that teams will just let that poop slide with no response.
