Hopefully the deal is at least somewhat smart.
Ie. getting rid of Belesky. If we get a forward without sending back Belesky or Spooner, we lose Spooner to expansion anyways. Also if only futures are going back to avs, then we are screwed in the cap department in the 18-19 season.
Send away Belesky, zboril, 1st and K. Miller and I'm happy. Or maybe it will take Spooner instead of Belesky, which I think may be regrettable, but necessary.

Can't believe I'm saying it but I think Julien was holding this team back. The Vatrano Spooner Hayes line has made a huge difference and Claude NEVER would have played them together. Cehlarik has been a great fit for the Krejci line too. His hockey iq is off the charts. This team for the first time in a while is fun to watch |

I think the spooner line was the strongest last night. Vatrano had 3 or 4 good chances. Hayes doesn't look useless on the line either. It reminds me of playing NHL 05 trying to make line chemistry by putting a playmaker, scorer and grinder together. I would still prefer Belesky over Hayes but cannot complain about him after last night.
Oh and that one move Cehlerik did stripping the puck away I think in the second period, was so awesome. |

I had something very very similar to this posted this morning. Must not have hit send.
The lines are perfect right now. I only got to see the third last night because of ice hockey but the Spooner line is making an impact and you are 100% right. Claude would have never put them together.
Putting another playmaker with Krejci and Pasta is also looking to be a great move. |

Love it so far. Not going to allow myself to get too excited yet. Waiting till 10 games as I think that should show a good sample size. They have been exciting to watch again that's for sure. |

Same. Been a much more palatable brand of hockey that is for sure. Wont get excited until we get to March 2nd with no trade blunders. |
