Well grab a beer and watch some hockey! Cheer you right up. - Wildschwein
That's the plan, but I've gotta account for adequate time to do two edits for a media company I'm trying to get an "in" with and be prepped for a project consultation I have early tomorrow. Thinking I'll jam the prep in between periods and then run to the lab and do the edits after the game. It'll probably take me until 1ish, though.

Don't worry about it. We'll work together and make millions on Youtube... I have all of the crap purchased now and everything. If my calculations are correct, we'll overcome Pewds in 4 years.

Obviously it's very early and as such I'm not making any absolute claims, but Paajarvi has been getting 3rd line minutes since Yeo took over and has really been looking solid in the games I've watched (half of OTT, all of MTL and the current VAN). He may be finding his legs under a new coach!
I stumbled across this thread looking to see if anything had changed as far as hype on this game from a Oilers fans standpoint. I was pleasantly surprised with your write up on this game tonight and agree with mostly everything you said. Claude Giroux has been lackluster to say the least and his wearing of the "C" has been in question, even more so since the performance of one Wayne Simmonds at the all-star game in LA.
We are anxious to see if Edmonton does respond in sometime of way towards Manning, but I think its all talk at this point unless something else happens tonight on the ice. Edmonton is loaded with "tough guys" so I would say Lucic would be the last person to go after Manning and if I was a betting man (I am a huge bettor) I would put my money on Kassian followed by a hedge bet of Hendricks taking care of the dirty work in honor of Princess McDavid.
Looking forward to an entertaining game and will be following up on your blog in the near future. Keep up the good work and good luck in tonights game.

Keep in mind McJeezy can run his mouth with the best of them at times. He probably draws a few PPs tonight.
The Oilers running around trying to bury Manning and any other Flyer would actually be the best case for the Flyers. Two points tonight be damned, they need something to get them playing with emotion. - jmatchett383
I completely agree, although our PP has been horrific.

very true, hopefully the Flyers are smart enough not to play into it and are on the opposite end of that. Nick Cousins did his share of getting under the skin of the Flames last night and the Flyers had nothing to show for it after he got them 7 minutes of PP time himself

If you say your PP blows, chances are good that Edmonton will help bust that slump. Despite the winning record, the Oilers are still incredibly good at helping opposition players bust out of scoring slumps. I'm sure your PP will be no exception.

Good for Paajarvi, hopefully he pulls it together. I kinda wish we had swapped Yak for him and 5th rounder.
