I think we are going to see things play out more this year depending on what team needs are.

If Colorado ends up getting 1st I'm not sure they take Hischier there.

Orr vs Cherry game, Nico IMO beat out Patrick by a mile

I actually think he might be though. Despite what some people are saying online, he looked unreal during the WJC

I would take Nico over Patrick in a heart beat

I have seen much more of Nico in the world junior and in clips but from what I see he seems like a great player. Patrick still seems to be the conconsensus #1 even though he has missed so much time.

Seems a bit rash to stake you're franchises 1oa pick on a guy that in your eyes outplayed the guy most scouts favor 1oa for one hockey game. Especially considering how much time Patrick has missed due to injury this year. Keep in mind no one was even talking about hischier last year...but scouts have been trumpeting Patrick for about three years now. I like both their games, but I'd take Patrick 1oa everytime.

That's simply not true. Nico has been on the radar since he was 14

I think what he did the last 2 year in the playoffs still has Patrick as the #1, if he struggles this year then maybe he loses it but he has been damn good since coming back from his injury.

That game is all we have to compare the two of them by.... Patrick, like you said, has missed considerable amount of time due to injury and it wouldn't surprise me if he did fall, like most players do if they have a injury plagued season in the draft year. Hischier has been a star player on his junior club, the WJC, and the Orr/Cherry game (which some of you might think its a dumb game, but those kids were going 110% that entire game).

I am not sure how you didn't hear about Hischier prior to last year but he has been talked about for a while. I only really heard about Patrick after last draft when Button tried to project what next draft would be.

Why do people think whether Nucks win or lose these next games will really decide if JB makes trades by TDL?

Based on where the bubble is on points out of WC and how close the Nucks are to the bottom it will only take one week to tank out.

What happens the last week of regular season will have more to do with draft position then now.

Nucks can get at best the 4th slot for lotto balls because of Vegas and Avs and Yotes lock on 1&2. A simple losing streak at end of season can get them there.

work hard to not play hard. Doesn't seem like we have to change much.

so you think the team isn't playing hard? Or agree tanking isn't an issue. That the team can bottom out last week of the season for best placing.

I'm sick of the steak, now we need to draft the sizzzzzle. We have enough two way/big body players in the system I would like to see JB pick the Forward in his range with the most offensive upside (GOALS PLEASE) regardless of size.

I want a Philip Forsberg type player ( meaning a young/talented winger that can grow with team sooner rather than later)..... not picking up Tkachuk is starting to bug me, though I suppose that's hindsight.

I've never owned a snowblower in my life. I bought one last week after a storm with 3 more anticipated. We went from barely any snow to having about 5 feet of it in a week and a half.
