I think Benning should go up to Louie and ask him to waive so he could put him up for the draft and not lose any forwards.

Eriksson has been a huge disappointment, and I didn't expect more the 20g 50 pts from him but I think it would be pretty bad form for a GM to sign a high end UFA for 6 years and the next year not protect him in the expansion draft. I think that it would really hurt his ability to negotiate with UFA's in the future.

None of our so-called 'elite'/'future top 4' D-prospects will be ready next year.

If Benning is serious about moving Hutton, of whom likely has the highest offensive ceiling; then i hope they give Subban an opportunity (which they won't).

For a fanbase that can't stand Gaunce's inability to generate offense as a 4th liner, they will surely lynch poor Curtis.

This season in the NHL.

Gaunce: 5 pts in 48 games.
Lazar: 1 pt in 30 games.

All in all, that would be a horrendous trade on Benning's part, especially when he throws in the complimentary 2nd rounder.

Best case scenario for him IMO is the Comets squeaking into the playoffs and have Chaput, Megna and Biega returned. Hopefully they can win a round and he can get some good experience.

For this team to come near a cup Bo, Sven, Markus, Hutton all the younger players need to continue to score more. Sutter, Eriksson need to put up 20 plus goals.

Then we need 2 players that are going to score around 70.

Reality is, that we are younger than we were last year (even though points and stats remain similar), and our prospect cupboard is a bit heavier than it was this time last year as well. Small steps, small victories.
