Mozik is a right shot, who you gonna sit, Severson? Santini? Lovejoy is an ex Pen so he isn't gonna sit. Mozik may also never be a NHL dman. The Devil have too many bottom pair guys guys just like Mozik with more experience, Moore, Merrill, Helgeson. I don't think he will beat them out for the same job, considering they are trying to make the playoffs and they are all around the same age, with more experience.

Let's say they got someone like Fowler, for example, Mozik would then still compete with Merrill, Moore, Santini, Helgeson for then only 2 spots. There are only 3 spots right now and he still isn't getting called up.

But we ARE currently in the middle. Not sucking. And a move like that may not happen again. We don't have the assets to pull that off again. You also need guys better then what we currently have and I think Smith is and is still young.

The Devils should not move their 1st, and the 2nds I don't know if I would trade one. Maybe trade 1 to move up into the late 1st round. I haven't seen anything about Shero shopping Cam, which he should, or shopping Greene, which he should.

Yes, but Shero should trade now. Not in 2-3 weeks. Shero kept Schmelko last year for whatever reason. Teams are desperate to make moves, but everyone is so close even if it is misguided.

I disagree with people who say the draft isn't deep, there are players are good and if the Devils get within the top 8 Tippett should probably be on their list to get. I'm not overly big on Tippett, but the guy is big and can score goals. He's probably the best goal scorer in the draft. Try desperately to get another 1st, since guys think it's a weak draft, then draft a dman, or maybe Yamamoto. Tippett and Yamamoto would greatly increase this team's future on offense.

Stempniak 2nd and 4th and Gelinas 3rd. If you told me a month before the deadline that we would get a 2nd, 3rd and 4th for Stemp and Gelly I would have jumped at it.

Good point. If Anaheim and Carolina shed a D man each, and early on, Ben Lovejoy might look like Chris Pronger to some teams.

Yeah, but Gelly wasn't really doing anything with us so getting rid of him was not problem for Shero. Stempniak had 16 goals and 40 points when he was traded. Henrique has the team lead with 15.

Cam 10 goals, 30 points. Parenteau 13 goals, 25 points. Quincey 4 goals, 12 points. Those are probably the most likely to get traded unless like DSP was, but the last two most likely will and they are not bringing back 2nds with those stats. I would be fine with a 3rd or 2 3rds for Parenteau and a 3rd for Quincey. I doubt they get us more.

Or instead of the picks prospects, depending on who they are, but most likely the picks would be more appealing.
