The first computer that was all mine had 128MB, 2nd had 512MB, 3rd 1GB, 4th 16GB. Bit of a jump between 3 and 4. But to be fair I had 3, Mac Book Pro for almost 10 years.

Same here. I remember upgrading to Windows 95. It was a big deal. And lots of 3.5" floppy discs.

I can't remember more specs, but I do recall my dad debating between a 75mHz Pentium and a 100mHz Pentium. I remember the salesperson said we'd probably never actually need a 100mHz processor. There were definitely no 'G's before any of the specs.
