I'm willing to give Zibanejad some more time, he's coming back from a real bad injury.

For me, the bigger picture is were 6-1 in our last 7. But during that stretch the last 4 games or so I've been saying we need more out of our "#1" 6.5 million dollar a year center. Everyone was OK with 5 assists and no goals in 12 games. I'm not. He whiffed on a wide open net on the PP (which I don't think he should be on) and then the Isles score on the same PP short handed. He's been bad for over a month now. How come Kreider/Miller/Hayes/Buch etc can be sent the message but not Stepan? He's been bad the past 12 games. Send him a message. Take him off the PP, put him on the 4th line for a few shifts, SOMETHING.

Yes, every player, at some point in their career has had good moments. My point with Stepan is this, he held out to get more money, he wanted 6.5 million with a NTC in the last 4. I get it, it's business. But guess what? When you don't perform to the contract you demanded, you get traded. Not saying now, but in the offseason there's no doubt in my mind he should be gone. We have 2 younger, cheaper, arguably better(depending who you ask) centers.

Hell yes, this is what I want!

But for real, the regular season just bores me. I am so used to playoff hockey that these regular season games don't get me to high or to low.
