Actually only 5 rookies next year...we're carrying 8 this year dude, and before the season people were saying the same thing when people posted lines with so many rookies.

I saw article of by some math nerd. Came up with that forwards putting up ~.75 ppg ages 19-21 or 1 ppg ages 22-23 have a decent chance of making the nhl.

I doubt they'll have 8 second year players and 5 rookies next season.
They want to improve on this year.
As for our young D....the leafs will take their time with them....no sense rushing them.

Wouldn't we have it regardless of when they put them on LTIR?

I thought as soon as we hit the cap max we could put players on LTIR...I didn't think this was a surprise really?

Wonder if they'll take guys with a year left on their contracts (in. Laich, Greening, Michalek) to get picks and/or prospects again? They'll have a lot of room next year and can bury nearly a mil again. I love it.

From a last place team.....not that hard.
Plus 3 of them were very high end rookies.
One of them played in the KHL for several years.

But taking the Ben smith, Martin, Polaks and hunwick out and putting in 4 rookies doesnt say to me they will be worse
