They only REALLY played for about 20 minutes. Arguably, 30.

Reffing is reffing. Some will be good, some will be bad. Just like puck bounces.

The Leafs didnt deserve to win tonight, and not by a long shot.

First goal i blame the goalie for mishandling, what should've been a rebound off to the side OR smothering the puck in the mid section area. Personally i think the thinner goalie pants are REALLY paying off. Seems to be working league wide.

Next 2 goals were 100% lack of awareness of the defensemen. Goalie had no chance.

4th goal was a fluke deflection.

At that point i had moved on and stopped watching, only coming back to the game every handful of minutes to see how much worse it could get.

I get that the team IS gassed out because its full of rookies not used to a hardcore NHL schedule, but it should have been a 2-2 or 3-2 game at the very most. Just if they paid more attention on the man to man coverage, which seems to be their kryptonite this season.

Honestly, if the D core gets a 2 man upgrade in the off season, maybe one of the AHL rookies from Anaheim, and a top 4 veteran, you'd probably see this team a lot more secure in terms of playoff hopes.

Either way, this season, they've already over achieved in my books, so this is icing on the cake, the fact that we can even talk about making playoffs. Hopefully they dont pull a Calgary and completely stink next year.

Not with this team....I thought at 3-0 we still had a chance and even again at 4-2.

We outplayed them 5v5 and pretty much got killed with dumb penalties and a couple iffy calls. IMO
