Funny thing about MSG the stock. Market cap 4.1 billion. 1.5 billion in cash. Own the rangers, the knicks and the arena. Being that the clippers got sold to a bored billionaire for 2.2 billion you could imagine what the knicks would sell for to a bored billionaire. Problem is they have a 2 share class structure. All the votes for change of control are with class B shares and Dolan (they own like 900 milliion in stock but all the voting rights). If you could figure out how to remove dolan and auction off the teams to better ownership basically a bored billionaire who needs something to do you could make a killing. I could see the knicks, rangers, and arena being worth 7-10. And in nyc you would be a god for getting rid of dolan. Most loved person in the city. - sditulli
My dream, when I have a spare few billion dollars, is to buy the Rangers, take over as GM, trade their next 500 draft picks to the Flyers for a 7th rounder, and trade every half-decent player for late round picks (to be traded to the Flyers), and then replace the roster with ECHL-level players signed to high-dollar, long-term contracts with full NMCs. |

I am a huge Flyers fan, I just happen to like the Penguins as well.
RW, back when he was a poster, didn't have Tanner-esque posts. Now that he's a blogger, he goes for either a) over-the-top title, b) tongue in cheek title, c) cheeky title, or d) recap with hand-picked fancy stats.
That's all fine, he's welcome to do it as long as Ek keeps him on staff, but I just find his method of writing akin to a petulant child, and choose to respond in kind. - jmatchett383
I found this post quite accurate. |

This is a joke right? Dmitry Orlov is a stud. Kulikov is garbage. - j.boyd919
It was a joke haha but I do think Kulikov is a good player. ORLOV is good but has his mishaps too. |

Pretty interesting article from Josh Yohe on DKs site this morning. Interviewed GMJR and basically told him there is absolutely a chance a significant trade is made before TDL. Yohe went on to say Guerin was at the Devils-Avs game last night. Also stated the grey area around Rust's injury may be a factor in the urgency. Kind of sounds like a Duchene/Landeskog deal may be realer than we know/expect. |

Yeah but Orlov has 29 points this season, and top pairing analytics. Give me him on my team anyday of the week. Kulikov on the other hand has TWO points, and trash analytics. I wouldn't want that dude as a 7D. Find me a guy with offensive upside (much like Schultz last year) and bring him in as 7D. We already have guys that produce little individual production from the backend in Maatta and Dumo, I see no reason to add someone worse (at production) than those 2. I'd much rather go after Brendan Smith or maybe Johnny Oduya. He has similar analytics to Kulikov, but could definitely be had for WAY cheaper, IMO. He's kinda cut from the Trevor Daley cloth. Trades chances, moves the puck well. Step into a bottom pairing and not drown. He's also got all that "veteran experience" everyone values. |

You could flip it and say Kessel was the most valuable player because he allowed the Penguins to run a stacked 3rd line and tear up the 3rd pairing Dmen. If not for Kessel's production, where would they have been? - j.boyd919
It's quite simple, really. No Kessel, no cup. The 3rd line's production is what put them over the top. |

Let me guess...you guys either didn't see eye to eye when he was a regular poster OR he said something(s) back then that you really didn't like.
I say this because your relentlessly consistent negativity towards his blogs, blog titles, use of charts, etc has a real grudge feel to it. |
