This might work in Bostons favor, if they play against each other in the playoffs, well see if the Boston players hated him and motivate them to a series win !

What about this one?

Both were good turns. Andre's was classic, "brainwashed" by Bobby Heenan, setting up the all timer match at WrestleMania III. I loved the 80s in the old WWF.

Burn them all.

The pill that will tough to swallow here, is the next time the Habs come to town, we will get a video montage thanking Claude. And then he will wave to the fans, behind the Habs bench.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a full blown heel turn. Julien was in Boston 10 years, and once Chiarelli was gone it was only going to be a matter of time. Sweeny/Neely have made some very poor decisions and it will come back to haunt them. Once the rumors started earlier this season, they let them escalate and never backed up Julien. After being fired and swept under the rug behind the Patriots Superbowl win, I can see why Julien did what he did. I can see it from his standpoint, "You treated me like dog$h%%, now I'm going to the place where I can stick it to you and make your lives miserable"

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but....

I hope the Bruins do well... And I hope Neely and Sweeney do work out, and bring another Cup back to Boston. GASP!

His contract with Boston ended when he signed with MTL.

I could be mistaken, but from what i gather Boston is still giving him money si.ilar to a buyout situation, so technically Boston will be paying him along with MTL to coach the Habs.

The real heel turn would be for him to face the Bruins in the playoffs and lose to the Bruins then remove his shirt to reveal a Bruins Jersey

Well I could be mistaken as well... but I don't think you have that right. From everything I've heard Boston is off the hook for his contract since he signed somewhere else.

That reporter jimmy murphy guaranteed a stanley cup appearance for montreal minutes after it was announced, he also said the bruins will be golfing, so needless to say I was a little bummed out after that take. Although he then followed it up with this being the equivalent to bill belichick becoming the jets coach, I must have slept through the 4 other cups the bruins won.

I wouldn't call it unpopular, just more like unrealistic. I think all Bruins fans would like to see another cup regardless of who is in charge. Given the last 3 years, the odd decision making, and the fact that Neely and Sweeny do not speak like they're on the same page..it's tough for me to believe in them.

Feels like there is no plan. Makes it tough to buy expensive tickets and pay 11$ for a beer when they typically get abused at home.

I really hoped that lutefisk would taste good....but in the end every time I give it a chance it ends up being a massive disappointment and tastes like poop.

"Perhaps being part of a new build from the ground up would invigorate Julien. Or maybe he’s only interested in his next job being with a contender. He has the rest of this year at $2.5 million and all of next at $3 million to take his time and make a decision."

seems as per Gary Lawless... Boston is still paying him 2.5 million this year and 3 million next year. Article is listed below.

*Also why Bergevin needed permission to speak with him...

Now Im not sure if this means Bergevin takes over that contract, or has a seperate one, but Boston was on the hook for 1.5 yrs at least when the article was written.

Julien cannot be under contract with 2 teams, in order for MTL to sign him, Julien and Boston had to terminate the contract they had.

Julien signed a multi year with MTL

I understand I think.

see, I guess the way I understood it was that similar to a buyout one team could be giving a player salary (without a contract or terminated one) and still be paid by another.

was not sure if it happened or not with coaches. either way, not that big of a deal I guess.

I really don't see how this move would have surprised anyone. If the B's had've fired Claude in the offseason, Bergevein would have hired him then. Bergevin is a smart GM and even after dealing prima donna Subban, the club lacked direction and leadership from behind the bench. Julien instantly gives them this.
