Low-risk move. More competition for the 4th line center spot. Maybe he can push smith out of the lineup. Cheaper than acquiring boyle. - Tumbleweed
oh you think he should be in the NHL |

8 games -, should be more. But then, Hossa should have received 2 years for ending a career, but didn't even get a penalty. - winsix

Valantines Day was a quiet one for me.
The wife was in Vancouver for business, had dinner with a female colleague.
I asked for a copy of the video, but got nothing!
I went home to 3 Westies and a big jar of peanut butter!

smith is second on the team in FO percentage
he also brings balance to the center position when it comes to to who shoots right or left
gauthier shoots left... which would upset that balance
people tend to forget that babcock, one of the best coaches in the world, likes having balance...he builds his lines to have balance, he likes using specific centermen on particular draws based on which way they shoot to give the team an advantage - Dozzer
Unfortunately, Smith does not fit into the motto of play fast and play right, it's more like play slow and spaz out. Nice guy - maybe, gritty yeah, good on faceoffs - ok, complete absence of talent - for sure.

what do you want from a 4th line C?
honest question... that line isnt there to put up points... its there to slow the pace down and grind the other teams D corps down low

Where is Wolski now? - 1979AD
A European hospital most likely... a couple of months ago he had a pretty bad fall into the boards, suffered a few broken vertebrae. He's expected to recover fully, but it was a really bad injury |

The Leafs have two better fourth line centres on the farm, Froese and Gauthier. Both better penalty killers and better offensively. Both can win face offs on either the left or right dot. |

According to Joe Bowen you want someone who can take a draw then immediately get off the ice. |

Remember some of your predictions! Marner will not make this team, Matthews will be lucky to get 40 to 50 points, Leafs will not be close to a playoff spot. Now remember some of mine! |
