Im confident, Nyquist did not mean to do what had happened, but you still cannot be wreckless so I think he is worthy of a suspension. The fact of what he got assessed, Spurgeon came back to play and being a first time offender, I suspect it will result in a 3-5 game suspension.

you need to sign him to a new contract to expose him...then he likely won't be the guy picked by Vegas. Realistically, he would be a cheap and easy to bury contract, and the Leafs have plenty of contracts coming of the books next year, so there shouldn't be any issues with losing flexibility with 50 SPC limit. the only concern I do have, is if he is under contract next season, then he his available for Babs to use....and we know how that will go.

people tend to forget that babcock, one of the best coaches in the world, likes having balance...he builds his lines to have balance, he likes using specific centermen on particular draws based on which way they shoot to give the team an advantage
