We have a younger version of Dallas with a little better goaltender, he hasn't done anything down there, what makes you think he will work here?
- washedup20

Um they were the one seed out West last year and then his goaltending turned into even worse swiss cheese not to mention Seguin was hurt and only played one game in the playoffs...

Literally both goalies had less than a .900 save percentage

imo, they're very different circumstances...all three of those team had multiple seasons of success under their respective coaches but were struggling mightily as of late...

bylsma's been here a season and a half

- Michael Pachla

I think in those teams cases with their on ice talent they should be doing better than they are so firing the head coach seems logical. Im not sure you could make that same case here.

Im also not sure how many coaches would seriously consider the position here.

Julien coached in boston for 10 years before getting fired
Hitchcock five years
therrien in mtl four years

even gallant got two full seasons plus in florida

- Michael Pachla

All those coaches ( minus Gallant) reinvented themselves and showed they could change to their players.

Disco hasn't IMO

It's a pattern here.

Disco turning to veterans when there are younger players waiting.

It took how long before Bailey ended up playing with top six talent?

- Stripes77

i'd add in Foligno in a top-six role for way too long

even so, there's not a coach out there who hasn't done things like that

you sure about that?

hitch always had his players playing a heavy game...and therrien, according to biron, had early success but grates on players and like torts, is usually out after a few years

I picked both Folignos for some damn drunkin reason this week.

I just see the growing frustrations with certain players, players that are in the future plans of this team and that doesn't sit right with me that a coach is losing a locker room like this

Hitch should be given more credit for what Tarasenko turned into

When has he let a player like that just go?

that last part may have been true pre-Pegula and pre-Eichel, but now i'd think it's a job many would be seriously interested in...and that includes every coach that was fired and every one that will be

because he's been here less than two seasons?...I've never heard of a coach who came to a bottom feeder being fired in less than two seasons...if anyone can find one, lmk

he told Eichel that if he's not making five turnovers a game that he's not playing well...he wants the puck on eichel's stick...he wants Eichel using his skills

To be fair Renney made it exactly 2 seasons, hence my edit.

I'm not saying that Disco should be dumped but he also was a rebound hire after the Babcock fiasco. I don't know if I would be adverse to canning him if I thought there was a coach available that I had rated higher on my list.

Edit that reads terribly. Sorry for my poor command of the English Language.

Montreal fired Therrian and hired Julien to coach. They want to win. Exact move I wanted Sabres to make!

Murray has to get his ass out of the Swannie house! Eichel can't stand Bylsma. It's obvious. Too late now.

GMTM .....
The players are having to come out and explain everything now since Bylsma lost the room a while back. Murray has done nothing!!! He should be ashamed this has happened under his watch!

The blueline is a mess, not much for a new coach to work with on the fly. Might be more attractive job in the summer.

i'm of the opinion that he'll be around for at least the early part of next season...personally it wouldn't kill me if he was fired at any point...all i'm trying to say is that it's kind of early, especially in respect to where this team was and what they went through this year injury-wise

A little better goaltending than the stars? I believe they have the worst save percentage in the league, while we have one of the best.....

Shhhhh

Facts don't matter...and apparently short memory as well

The goaltending was god awful in the playoffs and somehow made it out of the first round and pushed the Blues to 7 games.

Had the goaltending held up they would have been in the Cup Finals IMO
