Nope. JB inherited a mess from MG.
Takes time to remake an aged team after cup runs.
The turnover has been significant with more to come yet.
Flames have been at it for many years in advance.
Goal is still a big problem & cap room not so great either.

Flames got screwed when dubois went so early. That forced the Canucks to take Juolevi, which is whom the Flames really wanted.

Need to resign RFA's eg Bennett Ferland & find a real starter in goal.
That will gobble up most of it once Widemans dead weight is gone.

1 has been rebuilding for years the other only recently.

Watching our prospects progress in the AHL & Jr & NCAA is rosey stuff for sure.
We don't rush them along as a rule & force them to learn at the NHL level.
Last year was out of necessity.
