I agree, it's his job to sell newspapers, not a fan of his but he does call it like it is sometimes regarding Benning & Linden. Which I find humorous.

As I said two days ago, winning isn't important right now, building is. Hopefully they stay true to their word and start building thru the draft a bit more.

I disagree they don't call it as they see it, they call it to incite the fans to rage. I don't know how many timnes I have seen tweets that are ridiculous like In the last 10 games Chaput has outscored Daniel 3-2 . They find the most ridiculous things to bring up and all it does is fire people up.

Yes we lost 4 -0 last night . We also had Dorsett Horvat Sutter Sven and Gudbrandson out of the lineup. We had Burrows as a cnter and Biega as a winger. We had Gaunce as a top 6 .

How do you think that night will turn out?

It turned out just like it was suppose to, a really good team beating a bad team.

Well maybe when we can reach the level of the Flames and their great drafting (5-0 Coyotes ) some people here will relax a little

Hopefully one day we can draft some good young players like them, yes, and continue to build on that until we get good again

Is it me or is the thread really slowing down these days? Has our apathy with the team making its way into the blogs? Is this what three years of telling the fans to stfu and like the crap product were selling you wearing away at our passion for the team? Seems to me the entire team and fanbase is in dire need of a spark...change of direction....someone needs to be fired....sell the team? I dunno...it's kinda sad when we can't come in here and battle out 25 pages and still feel like we didn't say all we had too.

Flames are maybe 1-2 prospects ahead of us but that certainly doesn't make them a better overall team or the future any brighter. They have a poopload to work on as well like goaltending plus 3-4 line scoring plus trying to get rid of Wideman/Bouma a few others.

Matt Bartowski on a PTO with Flames . Yup drafting for them has worked out real fine

Reid Boucher is the Canucks active leader in shots on goal per TOI (I know this seems skewed based on 4th line minutes vs rest BUT) The guy is taking shots at an incredible rate, even given his 7-9 minutes per night. He is averaging more shots per night than most of the Canucks who average between 17-22 minutes (amongst forwards). I am not going to start the parade of having Reid Boucher move up the line up, but we need to start taking some positives from that 4th line, and the pickup by Benning.

remember after they acquired Dougie Hamilton, they were pegged as having the best young D corps in the NHL. It truly is sad how things are panning out for CGY right now. They should be much much better.

The kid loves to shoot apparently. He has had a few good changes in the games he has played in.

As Botch said this morning in the Provies, after three years this management group hasn't gotten them any further down the road with all Bennings trades. They're just as poopty as they were three years ago.

However, they do have a handful of prospects now which they didn't under Gillis.

The Canucks have looked pretty good lately before the injuries took over. They aren't a playoff team but they certainly look better than last year.

I have no problem where the Canucks are this year. Hank is -20 and Danny is -12 . Most of the scoring chances come against them and they will be gone in a year . It will be a new style and hopefully some good draft choices are made.

I like Tryamkin Bo Granlund Sutter Stecher and Hutton. Five solid pieces going forward .

Agreed. This team will be a lot better when the Sedin's retire. They receive all of the prime offensive zone faceoffs, 1st unit PP and they are a liability in their own end. It will be exciting to have an infusion of youth and speed over the next 3 years

For sure there is, Benning has at least made some "seemingly" (yet to be determined) good picks. Haven't had a handful of prospects like this in years.
