They can expose McCollum ...and protect whoever they have as a goalie for next year ...I'm not worried at all
- Redmile247

That's what I said ....and just simplified it all. Look again. Twelve other teams need to do something soon as well. Can't wait until off season.

3/4 of our top goal scorers were not playing

3 years away from being 3 years away, see you all in 3 years, if I remember.

I'm aware...that's a good team though. Hopefully Benning can get them to that level one day.

Even if they were...the end result was likely going to be the same

Haha. After half a season...
You must be the same game saying how good Gaudreau is. Now he's only a 4th line midget making $6m per.

Yeah...I think it is his mo....but aquaman is pulling the puppet strings . I think JB would love nothing more then free reign to tear it up and build it from scratch .

And watch us rebuild every 4 years as no decent FA ever signs with us again, and no decent prospect that reaches past their bridge stays because they want more money then we'll want to pay and NTC/NMCs that we won't want to give, or honor. Not to mention the revolving door of coaches and GMs that'll pass through Rogers Arena. Best to wait until the end of next year when the Sedins come off the books. One year/TDL is not going to make a big difference.

Are you referring to the apparent lack of depth at forward? We all know they are challenged when at full compliment.

That when 3 young top 6 guys are out there is no one to replace them.

That the vets are kind of useless without those 3 to help generate offense.

Granlund can't do all by himself. Hansen doesn't have his timing back. Burr more of a complimentary player. Sedins and LE just not good enough.

What free agents have cone here and made any real difference? Miller I guess is about it. We can't afford 6 million dollar players that don't produce anyway. Pretty sure Skille would have 11 goals at this stage of the season if he had Ericksons ice time and linemates . And your right stripping it down for one year wouldn't accomplish the goal. It's likely going to need to happen every trade deadline for the next three years . Worrying about decent prospects staying? That's just (frank)ing stupid . Between there ELC and rfa ...they are under team control for 6 years. Now if we continue to ignore the state of this team and keep trying the horsepoop retool on the fly...then yeah I could see 6 years from now everyone wanting out. But 6 years of quality drafts trades and player development I'd say this team can be not just a playoff team but a contender. But it starts now....or we are still three years away from being three years away.
