I'm in agreement with the first part. Team isn't ready to contend and shouldn't be going after rentals. But he should most definitely still be looking for a premiere dman. If there's a deal make it. Don't half ass it like last time.

The movie was OK, but I got the feeling that the older actors didn't really buy into it, and probably cracked up laughing after ever take... Every time they praised the kid, it looked like they were going to laugh. I thought the main kid was decent though...

I usually don't read books, but I'm currently reading "The Greatest Salesman in the World"... Not sure why I bought it, but whatever. It's filled with really smart sounding quotes, and someday I wish to use one.

Assuming the context based off what you said, I think those comments are in regards to the trade deadline, though. I think it makes a whole lot of sense to not pursue acquiring an impactful offensive Dman during a time where costs are higher than normal, where most would be rentals and at a time when there's maybe one or two available (Shattenkirk and MAYBE Barrie or Green).

Also worth factoring in that everything we've seen about this management has seen then relatively tight-lipped about trades, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume he's just hiding his intentions.
