True. I would say a clean breakaway. Nothing that results in a penalty etc..

Well as penalty shot is defined by 5 things, past center red line, possession and control, no one between player and goalie, fouled frome behind (not the side), and a reasonable scoring chance denied. So a breakaway would have to be past red line no one between player and goalie with possession and control. A guy back checking still counts in my opinion.

Im guessing 20 - 25% success rate on a break away.

Yeah but how many times does a penalty shot get called/not called clearly on judgement of the ref.

I think if there were to be a league average it would have to be based on just a clean breakaway without being touched.

Would it be considered a missed breakaway though if a player got hounded from behind, missed and the ref called a penalty? I think it would be too subjective.

Are there any more players still in the league that played on the Hurricanes cup team. I would imagine that is who Doug will ask for to join his other turd buddies... Seidenburg and Ladd.

Staal, Cullen and Ward are the last ones I think. Or was Vrbata on that squad too?

no any that resulted in a penalty or penalty shot means it wasnt legal and negates the attempt. yea it would be hard as a stick lift non penalty negates the chance too, so assuming that i guess we would have to go with a player not impeded in any way

I actually like the way Ladd is playing, It games like tonight he prob going to show why we signed him.

Lets make it 6-1 vs rangers in last 2 seasons.

We really need the vets like Ladd, Chimera, Boychuk, and Leddy to come up big in these big games.

The whole team needs to come up big to beat teams like The Rangers, imho.
