After the Tampa series, Garth needed to make it his business to get that wing or 2C at the draft. Stamkos was never realistic. His parents got a place in Tampa and he was going to leave? Even if he did leave it was not going to be for the Isles. If Isles got that wing or 2C, then you sign Frans or KO and the summer is pretty much done.

I would not be surprised if he did not want to coach. It may not mean anything, but he never went to Bridge to get some coaching experience.

I like the job Doug has done as coach. His post games alone are so much better. Doug needs to work on that overall team D though. I wish he had someone better than Cronin to help him out.

Strome has been a dumpster fire and has played decent hockey for the first time in a year and a half for 5 games.
The Preds probably don't even want Strome let alone it would take Strome ++ and or maybe one of the Preds dog shat contracts( if they have any) to get it done.
