We've seen teams with far less talent go on longer runs than the Isles. I'd love another impact forward on the Isles, but this is not a team with a serious lack of talent. - ses111
They lack a first line winger. Defense I beleive they dont lack. Since the answer is Pulock in the minors |

I'll take a better 1st line wing than Bailey, but offensively the 1st line is getting it done. Lee is playing like a 1st line wing. The defensive breakdown will kill the Isles and not a lack of offense. |

Nope!!! What makes you to assume that he can make him into that player. The only person who can make Strome a 55 point guy is Strome himself. Until he believes in himself and plays at the level he know he can play at then he can be that guy until then nope - kasperrko
8 points in 12 games under Weight. A coach makes a difference to those who are not Malkin, JT, or McDavid. |

It starts with player though themselves. IF they believe they can be that guy then they will. It takes a lot of hard work to be the best of the best. You can ask all those players you mentioned and it starts with them first |

Then I guess you haven't been watching Frans this year.
Btw, we offered him more $ actually than Detroit. Frans said he wanted a change of scenery. That's his fault. - bgainesDM
No he didnt want to be around this mess anymore. Do you blame him?? Right their should have been a warning sign to everyone that things were not right here on the Island |

Depends on who's coaching the player though. Strome has really been trending upward and could break 40 points under Weight. It takes a coach to maximize player potential. Cappy wasn't doing that for Strome. You mean to tell me you don't think Peter Laviolette could coach him into being a 55+ point player? - bgainesDM
Trades are not made w/assumption of what another coach can do to player, trades are made by value of player & production. Grant it, unless Strome finishes season strong, his value may go up by nothing towards acquiring top 4 dmen bc of his inconsistencies.
Major rumor was Duclair for Strome during the season but Garf blow didnt want to pull the trigger... |

Have they ever been benched 5 times over the course of 2 seasons despite the coach's system not working for them anyways? |

BAiley is a facade. I am happy he is having a better season this year I mean it took him forever but I still dont trust him and think we should trade him while his value is high. |

Duclair for Strome is more of a lateral move. |

No because they learned to adapt and play at the level that they should. Half the guys on the ISlanders do not do that. They take games off and expect everyone else to pick up the slack. If the Islanders at a team played at a hundred percent each game we would not be fighting for a playoff spot right now |

Actually Frans felt slighted that Cizikas got his raise before Snow even reached out to his agent, bc Snow was all twinkle toes in on Stamkos that never happened, so dumb mistake on Gm |

Again, I blame that on the coach and his chip and chase system and relying more on Brian Strait than Pelech or Pulock. |

Remember Zach Parise going to the Wild? Devils had the money too. |

Even when the Isles forwards get back in the D zone, they do not even pick up their man. Still plenty of open players for the other team. Defense takes effort and too many of the forwards just want to play offense. |

The best part was that they mentioned it was spotted in international waters, so 12 nautical miles off-shore, yet show a picture of the boat in a harbor.
Media is a (frank)ing joke - eichiefs9

Go ahead and believe that, but for a player who has been here that long and to turn down more money means something was not right here and he knew it |

A player does not think like a fan. Some players want a change of scenery. Doesn't mean their current situation is bad though. You think Detroit is projected to be relevant over the next 4 years? lol They're laughable. |

I give Frans a hard time, but Isles should have traded for that wing for JT and re-signed Frans and Garth could have basically called it a summer. |
