I understand that. But before you know it Mcdonagh will be old and slow too like G and Staal. Thankgod skjei is back there. This current D scares the crap out of me in a series vs pitt or someone explosive. We can outscore teams but that could be very risky thing to do

That thought process has some merit but I don't think you can compare him to Girardi and Staal in some ways. He is a significantly better skater than either of them ever were. I really want to see the back-end strengthened but at what cost will it be? We will find out.

I like paryko guy from St. Louis, I honestly don't know much about him or even if he tough around the crease. I just know he's a large fellow and a huge shot. I'd assume he would cost a lot, but maybe you have to bite the bullet and trade a buchnevich or Miller for example. A foundation dman they really need, whoever it would be. They have a plethora of forwards maybe sacrificing one is a good idea. Even zucc as hard as that is to do

I had mentioned him a few months back but the belief is, one of the reasons they're letting Shattenkirk walk is bc they have Parayko so there's now way they trade him. They have Pietrangelo Parayko Shattenkirk on the right side
