yea i hear you. i just dont get why Buch sits but Lindberg and Fast keep playing. Buch is clearly more talented than those 2. I suppose we have to throw this up to too many decent forwards.

guys, Fast is never going to sit if he's healthy, it's not happening

He's been really good the last 5 or 6, no problem with him, he was our 4th line Center of the future

More talented absolutely. Playing better not really. Right now I have no problem having Buch sit a game or 2. Fast and Lindberg have been very good together on that 4th line. Both are much better than Buch in their own end too.

very interesting, didn't see that

sounds like Capitals beat them to it, or NYR didn't like what they saw

I never heard Gilbert. I heard we were scouting Paul Ladue. 24 YO RHD 6'1 205.

There were a couple of plays in the Colorado game where Buch was lazy on the puck and it led to opportunities for the Avs and prolonged shifts in the Rangers end. Sitting him isnt going to hurt his development and the black aces need to play some too.

Exactly.

I even thought Vesey should have rested a few games a couple weeks ago, but he has come back around and was a monster vs Columbus.

I think it's a good move. He's out of place on the 4th line. I think a guy like Grabner could be very good on the 4th line but I wouldn't break that 3rd line up, it's our best line. Now let's say we get Boyle, would moving Grabner to the4th line to play with him be bad? I don't know but would be interesting and have Buch play with Miller and Hayes. I think those 2 with the chemistry they have could play with anyone.

Ya like others have said sitting a game or 2 and watching from up high gives him a different perspective as well as a kick in the arse. I think moving Grabner to the 4th line is an interesting idea but I wouldnt do it till/if that line cools off. way too much production to mess with them right now but i agree adding Buch to that line would be fun to watch

i love Grabs with Hayes and Miller. I think that line is a perfect fit. I also want to see Zib, Kreids and Buch back together. they were tearing it up early in the season. im just curious to see if they can find it again.

I feel like Graber creates breakaways/chances for himself and a guy like that could play on the 4th line and still be a very good player. Buchnevich is more of a wheeler and dealer dependant on his linemates for support. Would be interesting but I wouldn't do it right now. Could be an idea down the road though, especially if we aquire Boyle. Our 4th line could shut other teams top lines down and still produce.

Nash Stepan Vesey

Yup I would be ok with this lineup and you could shift Grabner up during games if need be. Even Lindberg in the middle of that 4th line would be a good line

We've beaten the Fast thing to death here. Jimmy's right, AV loves Fast, trusts him like a modern day Jan Erixon type.

the more interesting option is:
Kreider Zib - Zucc
Nash - Step - SHARP
Grabner - Hayes - Miller
Vesey - Lindberg - Buch

4th line is a scoring line with this. 2 young guns that can produce and now you have 3 ELITE lines. 3 lines that scare every team. not sure how many other teams could say that. i dont think they can get sharp - price is prob too high, but i know Sather loves him.

I don't want Sharp. He's having a terrible year and I think he would be another Staal. He's 35 with 7 goals in 32 games. I know he's a playoff performer but I would stay away from him.

I have a feeling we're def getting one of these ancient forward types. If not Sharp, then Iginla or Doan.
