Is the "Thrashers core" thing still a thing? How can that even be a narrative? You take Wheeler, Little, Byfuglien, and Enstrom off this team and were worse than the Avs.

This fixation with the Atlanta players being the problem is absolutely amazing! I hope they get traded only so I can stop seeing such a ridiculous point being flouted.

There's literally nothing to that narrative. They've clearly been our best players, and continue to play at a very high level.

I'd like to think that we would get something for any of the above in a trade.

Personally, I have no issues with Little or Wheeler. They can play for me anytime.

You forgot to list "prefers to lean on big, unskilled guys when younger players are far clearly better options".

Chairot and Stuart don't make this team next year. Pavelec, Thorburn, Stafford, and probably Hutch are all gone by June 1st. Next years lineup:

Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler
Laine-Little-Connor
Armia-Petan-Dano
Matthias-Lowry-Copp
Tanev

Morrissey-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Trouba
Daley?-Myers
Postma

Hellebuyck
Neuvirth?

Dano, Petan, and Copp see very little ice time. Stafford, Lowry, and Matthias see considerably more. Chairot cleared 26 minutes last game. Morrissey didn't hit 20. Stuart was in the 1st PK unit the whole time he was playing. Morrissey never saw any PK time. Hellebuyck has been better in all situations than Pavelec. Pavelec somehow had more trust.

The Habs who are doing relatively well just fired Therien. While the Jets with Maurice, stand by and watch.

Why does Perrault get so much ice time when he is clearly one of our worst players? Petan, Dano and copp all receive about one minute less than mattias and stafford, not exactly a huge amount. Chiarot is clearly a better option than the horrid postma. I will agree Stuart killing penalties is a joke, kind of like wheeler on the power play. Pavle has played a total of 8 games, not much of an argument there.

Perreault actually ranks #1 in the league in terms of overall impact. It's on a per/60 minutes basis, so how much he's playing skews it a little, but he definitely one of our best in all situations.

I do my own anylitics now, he is near the bottom of the league based on his bone head play, extremely slow release, no scoring touch, constant give a ways on pp, how he disappears when not playing with guys who can carry him and how many one on one battles he loses. Turns out he ranks as an above average AHL player. Go Anylitics!!

Lowry is 23 and a better player than the 3 you mentioned.
Matthias was brought in to play the role he's played...and if you are complaining about his usage...you need to watch the game a bit more.
I'll give you Stafford.
Dano has been injured but was starting to get more ice time.'
Copp has been playing in the top 6 lately ahead of Stafford...so not sure where you are going with this.
Chairot is only 25....and you are cherry picking one game. Previous to that Morrisely has been playing greater minutes on a consistant basis.
Stuart has been in the press box more games than not...not sure your point on this one.
Pavelec...ok...I never got that one.

I was speaking more recently. Maurice got dramatically worse at his job once Pavelec came back. Also, no, Lowry is not a better player than Dano, Petan, or Copp. They outperform him in all 3 zones and across all situations. Lowry is an okay 4C. Dano is arguably top 6. Copp and Petan, while very different players, are both top 9 now.
