No, but I've played the position before. Fatigue is no joke. I am of the belief you never start a goalie back-to-back. They are on the ice for the entire game and constantly up and down. It's exhausting.

Goalies used to play 70+ games a year too. Only 6 goalies played 65 or more games last year.

I think teams finally realized that having a solid back-up is more valuable than having a guy who can start 70+. Especially come playoff time.
