Washington is really good - I still don't they come out of the east - that style just won't fly in the playoffs - and I don't think they are better than the Pens in a 7 game series - Ill take Crosby / Malkin over Ovi / Backstrom

The odds of the best two teams at CF% being ranked that low in the standings are very low.
The probability is that if you have a top five CF% you will be top five in the standings. But it isn't an absolute guarantee - it's just probable.
This is why when you say things like this in a 'gotcha' fashion, people don't pay any attention. I assume the vast majority of people understand that just because something is supposed to happen; has high odds of happening; doesn't mean it's automatically going to happen.
