Tampa wants a First Around Pick for Brian Boyle??
- SuperSchennBros

Lets hope so. That could bode well for our own returns for Streit, MDZ, and Shultz.

Gotta feeling he gets called up next. I think hexy wants sanheim and Morin to be a the top pairing for a playoff run for the Phantoms. Might even add Freidman at the end of the year if Haag gets elevated
- ravishingone

Friedman. He is a junior having a good year. I wouldn't think he'd leave school for the phantoms next year though

I'll take the bet that he's a Phantom next year. He's the best player on a mediocre team, and is more than ready to turn pro. He's had a great college career, and not just this year. Time is now to make the leap. If he doesn't, then it's only because he wants to become a FA and leave the Flyers. Otherwise it makes no sense.

Thought MacDonald and Provorov had strong games. Cousins line was pretty solid. All in all and good win.

He not in the category of player who will have teams beating down his door on Aug. 15, 2018. So I would suspect he turns pro next season.

Agreed. Thought amac looked decent the last two games. I am by no means an amac apologist (who is?) but he's appeared at least semi confident and competent the last few games. I know hak was ball washing him at the season ticket meeting but I still do trust that hextall would move him if possible and him playing decent only helps those chances (however unlikely that might be).

Yeah, he's had 3 really solid games in a row, funnily enough timing with all the fan female doging at the STH meeting. For whatever reason, he's found some newfound confidence in making a great offensive read a game for a dangerous chance.

Even if Hextall is happy with his play, he'll move the contract absolutely if given the chance. And maybe he'll get one soon, eating only a little.

That's great then. More ammo for the phantoms. I've never seen the kid play

MacDonald has been playing solid hockey pretty much all season, with an exception of a few games. You don't play top minutes on the top pairing if you're just semi competent. He is limited in what he can do, and he will never be a legitimate top pairing defender but he is doing now what he's done for most of his career. He is playing in a role he shouldn't be in, and helping the team.

Pains me to say but amac has been good this year. I would say he's been unequivocally their 3rd best damn this year. Still not going to find a trade partner. I don't think he's done enough to dupe any team into believing he's anymore than a 3rd pairing guy

Even if they think he's more than a 3rd pair guy, and he is, they also have to want to take on that contract. Any trade of MacDonald is likely going to come with salary retention.

Damn still not working. Feed the damn hamsters Ek!!

Anyway re AMac:
He has played a lot better recently. Still makes mistakes and certainly has no business playing on an NHL top pairing, but, if the Flyers would be willing to retain 1.5 million per, I think you could find a trading partner. AMac for 3 years at 3.5 million is a fair deal.

Weal played okay, provided some speed and forechecked well. He's not Konecny though, which we already knew.

Probably as close to the same kind of player that they have available. My opinion though is that Weal is not an NHL player. I hope he proves me wrong.

Amac has had some yips but for the most part has played good....I'm actually happpy for him. I still think he won't be traded because of that contract.... as BiggE said he is ok at 3.5 mil, it's more the contract that makes him un appealing......when a guy like Duncan Keith is making similar $.....I'm not saying he's top 4 because it's obvious he's not, but the Flyers need this Amac to give the type of sol D minutes he did yesturday.

Just hope they give Weal a long look. Nothing to loose . Guys like Raffl and his 11'points playing a majority of the time on the first line have had a fair shot.
Have to give him a chance is all I am saying
