It will be interesting to see what the Hawks do before the trade deadline, as always JJ nice read.

I am just really curious if the Hawks changed their mind with regard to certain rookies. Have a feeling that either Schmaltz or Hartman might have a different address. Knowing what we saw last year with John Cooper liking Schmaltz... that definitely shows some writing on the wall. Still think that Hartman is more valuable and more mature... as well as the most experienced. Hopefully JJ can provide more info as it comes.

Any franchise that wants to claim "dynasty" status has to check multiple items on the Hockey Gods' Tablets. Multiple cups with a core group is not enough. You have to go back-to-back. And you also have to redeem the suffering of an all-time great player in the twilight of their career who has never delivered a championship. You need a Hasek moment. You need a Robitaille moment. You need a Bourque moment. If these Hawks indeed aspire to Hockey Immortality, they need more than handing the Cup to Kimmo Timonen. They need to acquire Jarome Iginla, and etch his name for all time where it belongs.

Prediction: Latta's fighting ability and propensity to drop the gloves will make him a new favorite with Hawks' fans.

Wasn't Chicago interested in him back when he ended up going to Colorado?Calgary probably would have taken less out of respect if Iginla wanted to go to the Hawks,he made his bed as far as I'm concerned.

I wish I could tell you what us Italians would say, but its a PG blog......

Stars website has Oduya still out from a lower body injury - out since January 17th.
He's missed 10 games...they don't have a status on return - the players that do have their status listed are out for several months...So I'd think JO will be back by the deadline.

If Nill flips him to the Pens or Caps - Stan's got no one to blame but himself for the Sharp fiasco that cost us JO two summers back.
