I watched Marner play a lot of games in London. He's ridiculous. Makes passes I couldn't do in a video game..

Big no no on Boyle unless Palat is involved and Kruger is part of the deal.

Boyle is no top 6 F, but is a great depth player who has great size and is good in the circle.

Reason I say unless Kruger is involved is because if the Hawks do get Boyle, they would IMO fit that same type of role. Don't want two of the same role guy.

Vanek just hit the goal post/cross bar as clock expired in Columbus. Would have put game into O.T. It was a rocket that just missed. Also, read the following on Pro Hockey Rumors:

In setting their protected list for the Expansion Draft, the Blackhawks must protect Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, and Artem Anisimov due to their no-movement clauses. They would, of course, have protected those four anyway, but other than that group, the team has only two other players that meet the draft criteria of having two unprotected forwards that have played in 40 games this season or 70 games over the past two seasons and have term remaining on their contract: Marcus Kruger and Hartman. Kruger is not a great loss, but retaining Hartman is a major priority as the deadline approaches. The ‘Hawks could simply re-sign 30-year-old Andrew Desjardins or 34-year-old Jordin Tootoo, who both hit the 40/70 benchmark, but are impending free agents. However, the pair have combined for one point in 63 man-games this season and may not strike Bowman as players worth keeping, since they are nearly guaranteed to not be selected by Vegas. Richard Panik and Dennis Rasmussen are both restricted free agents who would also qualify if given an extension, but the team might think twice about exposing either player when they don’t have to. If push comes to shove, Chicago would surely rather lose Rasmussen or have to re-sign Desjardins if it means that Hartman is safe, but acquiring an affordable, serviceable forward with years remaining on his contract prior to the deadline may be the easier move for Bowman and company.

Boyle wouldn't be acquired to be a top 6 forward, he'd be a depth addition. I could see Boyle on the 3rd line. He scored a nice goal tonight, tipped a point shot while standing in front of the net.

Hey Bogie...I was thinking it wouldn't be bad to have Boyle on the team as well. Solid guy.

But as we've been discussing...if they're going to make a move - enough with the older rentals and hopefully get a guy that will be here...Dutch or Palat.

I'd rather have Stan go for it instead of a Vanek or Iginla. It'll be interesting to see what happens here with the Hawks being off for a week with the bye.

Agreed on last night's game. Difference for me was how aggressive overall the team was. They chased and played hard for every puck. The Hawks wanted the game more than the Jets and it showed.

No I am not serious. The only roster forwards I'd trade as part of a rental package would be Desjardins, Tootoo and Hinostroza (and Rozsival but nobody wants him).
