Realistically, what do you guys (and filthy bird) think the Leafs will do trade wise? Buying big? - Symba007
I expect them to trade for defencemen that are even just moderate upgrades over Hunwick, Polak, and Marincin. Acquire more mobility in the 5/6 pairing. I don't expect an addition to the forwards.
Good player that will cost more too replace . We have the same issue with Kane. Some want him gone , but too replace him would cost way too much . - cabin
Plus eventually the law will take him off your hands...

Comparing Kane to Nylander - Ralphb1967
Nylander is way more talented than Kane . Hopefully at this stage. But have to admit Kane is a decent forward any team would want the way he is playing .
Nylander has been playing his best hockey ever since the Boston game and being publicly called out by Babs. No chance he will be moved. His poise with the puck has been elite the last few games, he can hold on to the puck on the wall and defenders give him space because they respect the shot and the pass.
Consistency I think will always be the biggest issue with Nylander, but on any given night he can outshine Matthews and Marner. Having three dynamic offensive guys who can carry a line will be key to long term success. Any player can be shutdown, to be able to spread dynamic talent 3 lines deep when these guys hit their prime will make Toronto dangerous.
Toronto has plenty of assets to acquire D help. They are loaded with mid level prospects and draft picks. While a big splash for stud would go a long way, literally any solid NHLer is an improvement at this point.
Rielly , Zaitsev and Gardiner are top 4 defensemen. Even a mid level UFA Dman helps this group by committee and bumps a Marincin out.
Josh Manson with some size, snarl, R shot, should in theory be more affordable then the big names and could slot in perfectly next to Gardiner.

JERK EVERYTHING! PISS ON THE COURSE!!! - lumlums
My buddy did on our annual fishing trip. Played a round of golf - little drinking - ok a lot. Got to the 18th which normally ends up where? Yes, at the clubhouse. Beautiful view of the 18th from the clubhouse where the golf elite witness a 6'5" Italian cop pull it out on the green and watch as he pisses in the cup.
And they had the nerve to escort him off the course!

The way the G Man has been coughing up the puck lately, he could slot next to me on the couch drinking beers and watching The Curse of Oak Island.
