If Kane was classified as a "fine Canadian boy," who had his work ethic and didn't try like Hell to get out of Winnipeg and was from a small town in Ontario; not unlike Ryan O'Reilly who was never happy with his contract in Colorado, didn't like being third string center and ran his car into a Tim Hortons but IS a fine Canadian boy from a small town in Ontario would he be this type of "he's not part of the core" or we need a Jake McCabe type D for him? Jake McCabe a 3 or 4 Dman. I think you can get another Jake McCabe for other assets.

I agree with this. For those of us who are in the "trade Kane" camp, I don't think any of us want to give away Kane unless it's a truly great trade for the Sabres. Otherwise, keep him and hopefully we re-sign him to a reasonable contract.
