Kruger must still be having trouble with his hand/wrist because he isn't taking many faceoffs this season. We could use him to take faceoffs in the d-zone, especially on the PK. Hopefully he's back in top form by the playoffs.

Crawford stood tall when he had to. One damn lucky toe save earlier. I figured this road trip would be a disaster. Eight out of ten. Go figure.

And an extremely interesting game tomorrow night in Edmonton. Be good to get at least a point before the five-day off period upcoming.

Tampa needs to shake things up. They look terrible.
Can we please have Drouin and Boyle Mr.Stevie Y ?
We'll give you Kruger, Desjardins, Gustaffson, and a pick .

Had that game on 2nd tv, if you didn't catch the whole game...Ning missed 3 open sides in regulation. Should of had that one(2)....disappointing. Lots of work left to do but don't think the Hawks would be intimated having to play roadies in rd 2 if it plays out that way.

Agreed. I know the old Northlands for years had the best ice in the league. Anyone know anything about the new place?

Hawks better be ready to skate tomorrow with these guys. An impressive young team, no doubt.

At one point in the game I told my wife that Campbell was finally having a good game, and right after that, Eddie O said it was his best game of the season. Has he been playing hurt, also? He was a much different player out there tonight. Hopefully this is the Campbell we see the rest of the way.

I was critical of Campbell but yeah he stepped up and played well tonight. What a difference when the D are on their game. Also, Seabrook was playing like post-season Seabrook. Keith blasted a goal too, not too bad.

Overall, Hawks played a good game and attacked really well. Let's hope this is the start of some momentum and they don't look back now.

Buff playing like a bonehead already. Keep an eye on Panik n him.

Anybody else see Panarin's game lacking for the last little while? lot of coasting...

- kinigitt

No .. totally missed that - I saw a guy pick the puck out of his skates on the fly after having an Anisimov oh crap half clear that just happened to hit 72- and turn it into an 88 one timer that lit the lamp. Also see that the league corrected the assist overlook from the Dallas game giving 72 a 2 point game then ... not to mention the OT winner in Minne if they counted 3rd assists - would have had one there too - as it was a tic tac toews play that actually started prior to the initial 'tic' in that instance.

I doubt his actual numbers are actually all that different than last season's at this point.

Otoh - I did see a really bad pass by 81 ... and trade him NOW

oops - no I think keep him too.

It was, Khabi was a total mercenary. Let the Hawks down, stole their money and got outplayed badly by a backup journeyman goalie named Patrick Lalime.

Had the Russian milkman played even MEDIOCRE hockey it's possible the Hawks make the post-season in 2008 as they won like 3 games while Toews was out injured for like 18 games. Hawks miss post season by 3 points that year largely because we had a goalie that could NOT be counted on to give a top effort. That bozo is a major reason I'm such a big fan of Crawford. I know that boy brings it every night...

- kwolf68

Point being though that he shouldn't have been signed ever in the first place, as the team that he was brought in on. I don't know that it was all that mediocre in that in 2005 since they couldn't score - you'd end up getting beat all of the time anyway. But point taken, I am not trying to make Khabi the 2nd coming of anyone other than a generic Hawks goalie. My point was rather more- why spend all of the money on a (then) marquis goalie who had last played on the Lightning just coming off of a Stanley Cup (prior to the lockout) -it is a bit like getting a closer for a baseball team that never has the lead.

Let's face it, though, no one wanted to sign with the Hawks back then... I remember that it was a big deal that Havlat came over -it was that bad really ... there wasn't a lot of skill on the team back then.

Otoh - I once was at a game at the old Stadium when the Hawks were playing the Nords and Michel Goulet scored on Murray Bannerman from the red line... it must have been maybe like 1984 maybe 5.

Good win last night...loved the pace of the game. Jets have a good young core.

I suspect this will be a track meet tonight in Edmonton. Hawks on the 2nd night of a back to back. Valuable two points here with the Hawks having their bye week coming up.

Blues seem to be rolling now that they've gone to Yeo.

Hats off to Ilitch - here's an owner that wanted to win at all costs. 4 Cups. Bought the team for 8mil in 1982.

Missed my point. He is getting points, he's hitting the soft areas. He's got skills to rack em up. Nobody is saying he sucks, or trade him. Don't be foolish.

My point is watch him without the puck. Different player than last year, IMO. He looks comfortable, and not in a good way. Seems to be picking up some bad habits.

Now watch Kane without the puck. He is moving his feet, making things happen when the puck is going the wrong way.

AND I'll add, those habits aren't going to help the hawks in the playoffs, when those soft spots aren't so easy to slip into; when there are more bodies and sticks cutting off the passes for that neat cross ice howitzer.
