My Observations:

-Thought Gostisbehere played well coming back in. Like Bill said not flawless but wasn't near the worst defenseman.

- What the hell was Gudas doing on the second goal.

- What the hell was Mason doing on goals 2 and 3.

- Right now it seems there is no leadership to follow. Giroux right now is pretty much invisible unless they are on the PP

- I think it's time to get Schenn on Giroux's wing. If not then maybe they should bring up someone like Carey from the Phantoms. I know he has done a lot on the PP but he has a good shot and maybe they need a shoot first type winger.

- This team is just hard to watch. No offense. No physicality. Just right now a very fragile team it seems.

Now I know how it felt to be a Leaf fan last year.
The only difference is they had Matthews as a reward for the honorific play.

Agree with comment about moving Schenn to wing on Giroux or Couturier line and giving Weal a shot at 3C. We can shelter him with plenty of O zone starts and maybe start getting some 5 on 5 offense from the 3rd line.

Let's try something like and see if we can generate some goals.

Raffl – G – Voracek
Schenn – Couturier – Simmonds
Cousins – Weal – Read
Lyubimov or VV – PEB – Weise

Assuming we continue to slide in the standings, if we end up with a lottery pick, are there any 1C potential prospects outside of the 2 top picks (Patrick/Hischier)? I really haven't heard much about this draft other than its weaker compared to the previous two. I've heard a small amount about Rasmussen being a big centermen as well. Or even a winger that can actually score?

Don't worry. The Flyers will find their Matthews with the #11 pick in the draft!

The future is bright. Prospect pool is overflowing with kids who can put the puck in the net.

Here' s my problem. Coots has Simmonds with him. Wtf is that. Coots isn't a 2c nor can he score a goal or skate or make a freakin play anymore. Schenn has weise with him on his line. Wtf is that!!

When they land a 1c in free agency, everyone slides down. Giroux 2c, Couturier 3c. Problem solved.

Man, did that game suck last night. At this point I'm just enjoying watching Provorov. The rest of this team can pretty much go (frank) themselves, they play with as much heart and urgency that you normally see in a preseason game.

What a very Flyers thing to do, fall apart the season that the draft is full of crap. Couldn't be when there are franchise players available at the top.

Couturier is always going to be a 2nd line center as long as they match him up against top lines. He just will. Also I think Couturier has struggled to produce this season. But I also think sometimes people blow out of proportion his supposed lack of skills.

At times his line of Voracek and konecny were always creating chances before Couturier got hurt. They were probably the most consistent line. Does he need to produce more..Yes. But we also need more out of Giroux, Schenn, Read, Raffl, Weise, Voracek, Mason and most of the defenseman.

Also for what Couturier is getting paid I think it is a bargin. And I still see a breakout coming from Couturier.

Well that isn't happening this year as there aren't any guys I want to spend money on and no clear cut 1c in FA.

Also I am not sure I want a 2c making over 8 million in cap space. Of they can get a potential top line center I would need to move Giroux.

Mason needs to forget those black pads. He had tracking issues once the puck got to him.

Gudas... ugh just ugh dude had a horrid game.

But I'm going to end this on a positive for the Flyers organization:

Inviting the Wissahickon team to the game last night was pure class. They were right near me. Then to add Lauren Hart singing the anthem in their jersey and doing her salute at the end towards them. Just plain class.

Also the fans and players saluting the team during the third period as they were shown on the board was a nice touch.
