Our style is a team that grinds down the opposition....
"The Sabres are last in the NHL in shots allowed at 34 per game. They rank 27th in Corsi at minus-266."

....if i show up to work day after day and proclaim all this stuff im gonna get done and only end up doing about 25% of it, i would most likely get fired...

I see the jekyll and hyde performance continues.

And Eichel wonders why we boo.

Lets not forget that was a very good team we played last night.

OOOOO last night...

Offense continued to try and make that perfect pass to set up the perfect one-timer rather than get pucks on the net

Defense...looked completely (frank)ing lost for 90% of the game

Lehner was playing very well. I mean the last goal was a bit of a softie but at that point they'd given up like what...36 or 37 shots.

Disco never adjusted.

....But don't worry..this team will win @ Tronna and we'll be playoff bound again

EDIT: At the risk of starting to sound like some other individuals on here I want to add some positives. Risto is soild as (frank). Bailey is starting to look more and more comfortable in the NHL. Ennis seems to be getting to a point where his wheels are catching up to his brain. And Jack (nuff said).

I love the wins when they happen, but they just dont happen often enough. Thats on coaching. And i know, im preaching to the choir...
Tonight was ugly, devils game was ugly, sharks game was ugly for 2+ periods.

Yup until the players had enough with the "system" and played open, fast hockey. Who would of thought?

I'm honestly curious as to what you are watching. Not even trying to be an ass.

He was on the ice for 15 shot attempts for and 31 against. That's double. So twice the amount of shot attempts went towards Lehner, than they did Gibson, when Risto was on the ice. And it's been like this for months

I don't think he is as bad as those numbers suggest. He plays a lot of minutes on a team with only a few good forwards and a mostly crap defense.

His shot totals are going to be way down, IMO.

He plays 30 minutes a game and is the only good defenseman we have on a bad team. So obviously when we are losing and he is on the ice for HALF of the game... his numbers are going to be down. You put him on a playoff team and he is a top 10 defender in the game across the board.

My car lease is up. I drive a Mazda6 Grand Touring which I like a lot. I'm leaning towards leasing another one. It would be my third one.

However, I rented a Chevy Malibu last month when I was in Florida and was pretty impressed with it.

Anybody have experience with the Malibu?

Just about every championship caliber team has a defenseman that eats those kinds of minutes, though. Granted, they also have better supporting casts.

I have a 2017 Malibu and love it ( I also worked at Paddock in sales for 4 years if you need someone to go to)

Usually "great" D men stabilize shot attempts. Or push the play in the right direction. Almost every single Sabre gets worse in that regard with Ristolainen on the ice.

I don't think he's remotely bad, I also think the "It's because of Gorges" excuse is dead in the water though at this point.

You and I used to argue about Myers. Ultimately, I said that if this team was ever going to win a championship, they needed a defenseman that was better than Tyler Myers on it. I also said I thought Ristolainen might be that guy. I'm still not certain. He might be the championship caliber #2 they need. I have no idea how you get a #1 then.

I have a brother that used to work at Towne. That's why I have been driving Mazda's all these years. Like I said, I like them a lot, but the selection (including trim) isn't that impressive this time around.

I got out of my 2014 Silverado and into the Malibu, so it was a big change for me. But i coulnd't be happier. I got the white, blacked out all the emblems and chorme trim, people think its a Benz the way the body lines are and the Leds on the front end. Super smooth ride, great gas mileage, the new MyLink when paired with the iPhone is awesome, full navigation(free) tons of nice features. And if you want the little bit "extra" go for the 2.0 Turbo model.
