As much as I think Patrick will be better for a team then Nico. Van needs Nico and not Patrick. Need an East-West Ehlers, Marner type of player to help the meat and potatoes to score. Are Van going to be drafting 1-2, who knows.

The fans need Nico. He is an exciting player

Bob said Boo to Boucher

Alone in front for shot....oh well.

Fast paced period. Can't say it was boring.

Something to ponder....

The AV's suck royally & D is a joke.
Goal not much better.
They r shopping Duchesne & Landeskog.
Say they win 1OA & cannot pass on both C's Patrick & Hirschier.

So presume they want D and who has what they want & willing to trade?
or they don't get what they want in a trade then trade down from 1OA?
Who realistically will they prolly trade with in either scenario?

I can see that. Though with all the Nico and Patrick talk at this point, isn't it a lot of egg counting?

I really think it depends on how next year goes for them. I always thought they would keep going on several short term deals, but this has not been a good year and their close friend Naslund retired at 35 after his point totals declined.

It will be interesting but they will definitely play next year in hopes of a rebound season

- WhiteLie

which occured once Bert was gone. Bert and Nas racked up points together, not much when apart.

i am reading some anti-Sedin sentiment on the boards and hearing it on the Radio. I wonder if this is coming from the younger "Millennial" part of the fan base as I see the Sedins as carrying us ever since the West Coast Express moved on. Do the younger fans have no perspective? I am not willing to throw them under the bus due to a bad month or even a bad season. Besides, a bad season for them in an average one for most others.

I just think it is disrespectful to abandon your stars. They will retire next year playing out contracts they earned. If Danny was at 1000, I would almost think they may retire after this season but we owe it to them.

No more thinking of players as commodities. You end up with Corrados if you do that.

D.Sedin seems to have struggled since the Kadri hit and that makes me wonder if there was/is something lingering that he is playing through?
His play is eerily similar to when he came back after the D.Keith hit , off on plays , not shooting much and tentative in the offensive zone.
good first period and something to build off going forward in this game

good job Danny

If by bust you mean not playing on the top 6/top4 in his first year or two...well you're probably correct.

just my thoughts but the twins have been so close over the years its strange when they are not playing equaly, the other time i remember such a difference in play was early in their careers Daniel had that back injury which hampered his play for the better part of a year

LE scores PP set up by Sedins. Danny key on set up.

Boy they heard the noise on their play of late

Bo again pressing and showing he is dangerous too. Too bad stopped on drive to net.

Did you notice both goals were nifty passing and driving the net plays not a cycle?
