Tell Boone Jenner that Tryamkin isn't developing

I know you love to spin hair into gold my friend but can you honestly say you aren't concerned about the development of players here? It's not like the team has a great record. This isn't just a criticism of the current regime either, we have seen these issues for a long time.

wtf

I wasn't being serious. The Canucks have always had major development issues. 95% of our draft picks bust and end up playing in Europe.

Jake Bustanen, Busten Jensen, Cody Bustsen etc etc

Two NHL ready former 1st round picks for Hansen?? (I know you are going to say, well why isn't Bowey playing right now, and it is because WSH have 7 very capable (and currently the best D in the league) but Bowey is 100% ready to play and would instantly be inserted into our D corps.

Tom Wilson is an incredible power forward, I doubt Hansen for Tom Wilson does not even get done unless we add.

Burrows to MTL would only work if we took a player back. They have no cap space. It would have to be Burrows to MTL for DD (almost the same cap) and a 3rd round pick to VAN

- Codes1087

Do incredible power fowards play 4th line minutes and have 3 goals 9 assists in 55 games? I'll answer that for you. NO!
Maybe unreasonable to ask for Bowey but not a chance that Wilson is worth more then Hansen.

He actually plays closer to 3rd line minutes. those points would actually be very good for a 4th liner, especially when you consider his other contributions.

Well we really don't need Hansen then, Van has Dorsett when he's healthy.

He is easily better than any 4th liner we have.
He is a plus 10 as a 4th liner on WSH.
He has a 2 million dollar cap hit compared to Dorsett's 2.65 mill.
Tom Wilson is 22 and getting better, Hansen is 30 and aging (while one would argue is probably in his prime today)
He fights, hits, holds players accountable (not that Dorsett doesn't, kind of).

You need a specific player in your line up, you don't just want a line up full of frail/soft/smaller forwards. You can't compare stats all the time of players and expect that to be the deciding factor on a players value. I am not saying that asking for Bowey is unreasonable, you can ask for whoever you want, all I am saying is that you ultimately offering a 30 year old for a 22 year old NHL ready power forward and a really good defensive prospect. Hard as a caps manager/fan to make that deal

lol you have a right to your own opinion.

I think day in and day out, we, more than any other franchise that I have seen on these boards, over value our current roster players in trade deadline proposals. Hansen is our best trade chip right now, there is no doubt, but a grade A defensive prospect and a NHL ready 22 year old power forward is not the return I think is realistic.

If Caps want Hansen, it will be for the same role and production that Tom Wilson is giving, only real difference is age and possibly defensive reliability. Also acquiring Tom Wilson in a deal for Hansen does alleviate the expansion draft conundrum with Sven/Granlund

Lefty gets a job in Edmonton Oil country and Stalks Connor McDavid every morning but never remembers a thing after lunch

ASL moves to Minnesota and opens up the Paul Bunyan Wood Pile social club.

Booner hosts an anger management group from his cabin from his cabin in Quesnel for the Hells Angels.

Belcher writes a novel The Power of Positive Thinking.

Don becomes a pastor in Vegas that meet every Sunday in the back of Walmart.

Makita gets arrested for one day losing it an walking through Parliament with a sawed of Shotgun screaming Damn Canucks.

Beatle John gets a job with the leafs in advertiing and promotions.

I open up a restaurant called Soup and a Blow Job in the Philippines.

Redmile buys a guitar and sits on a street corner singing I'm so Lonesome I could cry for Nickels.

most of the proposals are a complete wash anyhow as I think Vegas is going to scare teams from making moves, but its always fun to debate these proposals
