They are so fortunate to have him. He should win the Adams Trophy.

He and Malhotra got credit for last nights win by Puff the Magic Dragon. Some are taking the piss about it today.

I am confident neither JV, Gaunce or whomever else posters want on the ice instead of Megna would not have made that move, or scored for that matter

- WhiteLie

That was a great move and he was sprung well by Stecher too from unexpected angle. But throwing JV under the bus of NOT having the talent to do that....

I thought it ended. But the Matador of Condesending needs to bring out his swords.

never questioned JV having the talent to do it. Peewee kids pull that move all the time, doesnt take a whole lot of talent just confidence. I just dont think that JV would be confident or comfortable in that position to consider making that move in an NHL game at this time

When it comes to injuries this season it seems that's it's always worse then expected.

Well seems like Boucher and Megna will have to find a way to pick up the slack on offense for Sven.

Will this make JB less or more trade happy is the real question

In preparation for tomorrow mornings game, I would love to see Marchand get levelled by Tree and Tree have a tilt with Chara. Wouldn't that be something to see?

I see how you did that. Taking your confidence that no one else, not playing instead of Megna, has that confidence to do it. Good one

Really good interview....there are some interesting things to read into.

You know what happened next. The problem, according to Benning, is Virtanen thought he had to be bigger to play the power game and showed up at camp weighing 228 pounds, setting off alarm bells throughout the organization. The extra weight hurt Virtanen’s speed. It also impaired his conditioning and it soon became apparent there was a problem.

How the hell was it a surprise that he showed up at camp at 228 when he was training with staff 5 days a week?

Where did Virtanen get the idea that he needed to be bigger to play the power game? and why didn't this get addressed over the course of 5 months of training?

I do wonder if seeing McCann moved after struggling to put on weight had an impact, he also put 20+ lbs over summer training, apparently in shape but too bulky.

People complain about the " country club " mentality and the sedins being responsible but the sedin's aren't the ones who decided it would be best to dress an out of shape/poorly trained Virtanen to start the season instead of sending him down to Utica if they were surprised by his weight.

but they're generally lazy and out of shape especially in camp so you can see how that would rub off on other players. #countryclub

Yeah could expect a slew footer by rat face. But if bones can break a snap or two by Tree might be what the hockey gods order for payback.

Then in reaction to above maybe you get your heavy weight show. It might be an epic highlight real. Depends on who lands the first blow.

Only see above if game gets out of hand. Right now those teams are desperate for the 2 points. Will be fun to watch either way as long as intensity is there. Hard to say for mid day game if their blood is pumping as hard.
