Missed the game, but good to see the boys turned it up.

We are in a 5 way tie for 23rd or 4th last. Hope no one is getting playoff aspirations. Hope the boys play hard until the end.
I still think we end up with about 79 pts and a top 10 pick, probably top 5. This is not a very talented team & neither is over 1/2 the league.

Just enjoy it one game at a time. Can we wait for the fat lady to sing first before sealing a fate? Either way JB should make some trades at TDL.

Who was it that said Daniel would get 2 points tonight?
- manvanfan

Holla atcha boy!!

I called a 3-2 OT win with Daniel getting two points. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Oh and LH lost the bet!

You know he can't resist poking. Even if you didn't set yourself up for that he'll bring something up every day or so. It's not about hockey talk for him as much as getting a laugh or riling it up. Part of being a condescending matador.

Funny though as far as hockey views they aren't much different. Just lay off the Jarvis the Genius talk and you're golden.

- Nuck4U

Ive never said he was a genius just more of a real nhl level coach than wd or lidster.
To be clear 100% there's better more complete coaches than Jarvis out there for sure, but simply he's the best we have here. So in comparison to wd Jarvis's great and wonderful, but he wouldnt look quite so great around other true nhl level HC's.

Bottom line is that WD sucks.

didn't mean the statement on Jarvis to be taken literally. Got the viewpoint.

We don't know what goes on behind the scenes and if Jarvis gives more influence beyond his noted job responsibilities. Malhotra we know is a part time specialty coach for face-offs and doesn't travel with the team even. Lidster has a limited role as well for the Defence.

Just note the HC always gets the blame for whatever goes wrong. As so HC also takes the credit when things work out. The coaching staff are his tools. So whatever you may think of WD if coaching has done something right then it's WD's glory. Even applying your theory that Jarvis may have told him or showed the team what to do it would be WD who allowed it to happen. Such as another theory out there that Nucks have a country club team or players. Like the Sedin's tell WD how to play or when to deploy them. That's on WD for allowing that as well if it's true. Succes or not.

So as far as coaching comments on the Nucks, if they are doing something well or poorly, it starts and ends with HC WD.

A couple potential 3rd round picks.
Vantel has mentioned how he likes the first player.
4 of 5 are defenseman. Why I think we go for forwards in first 2 rounds this draft.

There really is no scenario in place where tonight's game is 'winnable'.

We may sneak out a win vs BUF or maybe STL but that could be it.

6-2 Jackets...Miller pulled.

Adam Ruzicka is ranked 27th in NA. I doubt he makes it out of the second round.

At one point this season they were on pace for 164 points. I kinda think last 1/3 of season the competition and schedule is a lot tougher, causing them to drop 3 points below 500. Just My opinion.

tsn-hockey-mid-season-draft-ranking-1.661533

According to this list he is 67th overall, which would make him a 3rd rounder in the area in which we will be picking. All players came of that list in that general area

Markstrom will never be a top goaltender in the league. I would trade him. Resign Miller.

Some dreams I have for the trade deadline.
To NYR Tanev, 2017 3rd.
To Van Girardi, Ryan Groop, 2017 1st round pick.

To WSH Hansen
To VAN Tom Wilson, Madison Bowey

To MTL Burrows
To VAN 3rd 2017

I really like what the Capitals did with bringing that female from Dubai and letting her drop the puck and such. If the NHL wants to expand their brand then that's what they should be doing.
