What's up boys?

Sitting at Pearson after my west jet flying through to Miami got cancelled. So now I gotta fly into Atlanta and connect to Miami and land at midnight instead of 2pm as scheduled.

Just killing time now.

Going to the Kings/Panthers game tomorrow night.

And go Leafs go.....

just had a thought, would really love to see the maple leafs back up the money truck and give claude julien a big contract to be one of the team's assistant coaches. he has been babcock's assistant before for team canada, and with his input and systems the leafs d-zone play would likely get a big boost. the leafs have built what appears to be a pretty good front office, why not spend the money to grab all the best coaches too.

Lets just hire all these fired coaches and send them to Lupul/Robidos Island so other teams can't get them!

that is supposed to be the secret agenda of hiring him/them. stop other teams from picking up quality coaches.

I look at a team like the Jets, with their combination size and decent amount of skill, and think if CJ somehow ended up coaching them...would be pretty scary.

yes of course, that is likely why it would never happen, but hey if babs is making 8 and the leafs offered him 6.5...how many other teams would come close to that?

8 points back with 3 game sin hand.. But really who cares if we catch them, this year is all about the kids learning. Management figuring what the next step is.. Setting up for the future, not this year.

No tequila. I'd be bouncing off the walls and doing the Macarena during the flight. Maybe a beer or two. LoL

Honestly, screw old coaches..

The game is changing rapidly... Theres a reason why Hitch and Jewls got canned. The players were tuning them out. And subpar goaltending, which could be the result of bad defensive coaching, allowing too many high quality shots.

i disagree..

It's about showing the Habs we're the dominant team... It always is, and nows the time to assert it

imo the bruins under CJ were one of the best coached teams in the East, watching them destroy the Leafs over the years time and time again showed me how effective their d-zone break outs with control of the puck were at preventing the Leafs, and most teams from getting anywhere close to a scoring chance. To me their problems were the moves management made that made the team slower and unable to compete with the pace of teams like the Leafs this season.

But you take some of his systems/plays and combine them with a young mobile d-core and the other teams would have a hard time ever touching the puck.

I’m not too concerned where he lands, but I’m not sure why he would want to coach a bunch of 3rd liners and 4/5 dmen in vegas.

I think leafs assistant would actually be better than that, and for more money to boot.

Though realistically, he should find a job with a SC contending team. Idk who, but maybe TB needs a new coach.

Well yes, of course... but actually catching them would feel a touch satisfying, as unrealistic as it is...
