way I see it

shanny, lou and babs are molding these young kids into PRO NHL players.

not really anyone on the team that takes things for granted - the core I just cant see being moved for anything - this is the new regime, they actually know what they are doing

Seguin could have scored 3 more, to be honest, Leafs were quite lucky with that.
Plus McElhinney played really well.
Leafs could have easily lost 4-2 - I wasn't too impressed by yesterday's game BUT considering it was a game 2nd half of B2B, was a great win.

I thought the Stars were a little snake bit also.

Well....lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet. We hope they do. Only thing we know for sure that they know how to do is lose.

As of now, they have no pressure to win from the owners....but lets see what occurs when that pressure to win from owners starts weighing on their shoulders. Like with previous management regimes.

Just like the leafs.....you cant be on top of your game every game.
Defensively, the leafs were better.

matthews and marner are so good it has people talking about moving nylander for some stupid reason lol

them: oh well he is only top 4 in rookie scoring... bust... move him now for an over hyped d man while he still has value

me:

- Dozzer

Sure, at first glance, trading Nylander for Hamhuis might not make sense.

But you are forgetting one thing:

Hamhuis has intangibles. He is good in the room. He will keep the young kids on an even keel.

And he gives the Leafs a chance to win THIS YEAR!

No one has ever suggested this.
I believe Max said Carrick and a pick or something.

Brown and Nylander rang the post too...could have easily been 5-1

Those won't be two easy games.

The Leafs are not below .500 and they don't have "loser points".

Teams that tied before the annoying changes to the point schemer always got a point for the tie and often that was a hard won, and well-deserved point.

The extra point is being given to the winner, and should be referred to as something like a"gimmick" point, or more correctly a "keep-the-standings-bunched-up" point.

Thought soccer was bad with penalty kicks...the NHL plays shinny for a point.

Do you think the league will ever reset records?

In the sense. Freeze all from the first century or since modern hockey began and let new ones form. It's a completely different world now and I think that'd be respectful to the old world while forever holding their legacies.

When I saw the Curtis interview after the game.. I wasn't expecting the dude to be like that. I couldn't tell if it was a cartoon or a kid that got picked on in middle school

Awesome game by him though. I like his style in net, calming.. especially after the days of Riemer.

It's better then the shootout! I'd rather see 10 minutes of 3 on 3 and then done. A tie is fine. And 3 points for a regulation win or nothing for the loser in overtime. The value of a game in the standings shouldn't change because it got to overtime.

I'd rather 4 on 4

Not a fan of the shootout or 3 on 3 for a point after both teams working hard for 60 mins 5v5.

4 on 4 for 5 mins

Shootout - only use shootout wins to break a tie at the end of the year or something...no extra point.

Gotta start McBackup tomorrow. Nothing wrong with giving Andersen another couple of days off.

Poor Reimer ..was a good goalie for the Leafs...but an average old backup is better to some fans
