All those guys are mentioned are pure rentals. Kane makes $5.5 or so million next year, so can't really see the Rangers taking that on, especially with their depth at forward. If they pick-up a forward, I think it will be some grissled old vet that can add some playoff toughness and experience, that they can just waive goodbye to at year's end.

I would love Patrick for the leadership, dude can still play, and has a bit of a nasty streak. But yeah biggest issue is defense.

Interesting. Left shot, however, which isn't ideal. I have no clue what the Bruins plans for him are, and whether he has any NMC in his contract that would require that he protected.
