If he was signed to 5/5.5 I could deal with it. But 6.5 AND the NTC kicks in this summer makes him someone to watch. We're going to have a bunch of guys due for raises during those 4 years of his NTC and IMO this is how we don't lose one of them. I say a lot of stuff sometimes to get a rise out of ppl but I would say it's 50/50 Stepan isn't a Ranger come next Sept. - nyrangers9479
Just my personal opinion, but I don't think Stepan is going anywhere, no trade clause kicking in or not. I think he is important to the team, not only from an on-ice perspective, but also in the room. I think he is a leader, and I think he picks up some of the vocal stuff that maybe doesn't come naturally to McDonagh.
But, I will acknowledge I am much higher on Stepan as a player than most. He doesn't wow you on the ice, but he does all of the little things right, and he plays well in big games.
Put simply, in a big spot, as it stands right now, I am more comfortable with him on the ice that either Hayes or Zibby, and that is not meant as a criticism to either of those guys.
Domi just returned from a bad concussion. Not sure I would take him at this time. - mames11
If we're trying to win the Cup why the fack would we deal our most important and consistent forward who's entering his prime and plays in every single situation and is a proven playoff performer for a young kid with zero playoff experience

The trade doesn't make any sense from the Yotes perspective either.
I will say that I think Conor Murphy is a guy that the Rangers could be interested in if the price is right, but I also don't think he is a huge immediate upgrade. He's a developing player.

Because AV hates the young players. And Stepan is fat and bald

if we wanna play until June, we need 8 defensemen, not 7.
Last night is a big indication that to succeed, they are going to take a beating
I want to see if Don Giradelli gets bought out after the season. Or if Kelvin Kind can play better than he has. - mdw7413
Girardelli may have to be bought out, because Brian MacDonald is coming due for a new contract in a couple of years. Especially if they sign pooponkirk.

I like to focus on specific players at the game when I'm there, and kelvin struggled. Chase also. He made a couple nice passes, but he roams around alot looking confused and was the reason for the GA

Do it in the offseason. But understand keeping Stepan costs up one of Buch Zib Hayes Miller Vesey. He wanted his 6.5 million with a NTC, unfortunately he's not a 6.5 million dollar player.

Did you mess that name up? You meant Ronald MacDougal. C'mon...you've seen Coming to America It's okay...someday, you'll be on fries.

Murphy is a guy I take full credit for bringing into the equation. Similar to Draisitl.

Chase is still young, love his upside so I can deal with the mistakes. Kelvin has been bad all season. What the hell happened?? I'm blaming the man bun.

One of my favorites:
Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H". It was a most ripping victory.

Brad will be fine, young D have their moments. If Kel is the player they lose in expansion I'd be thrilled, because losing Grabner will really piss me off. They gotta find a way to keep him. He brings people out of their seats. Maybe trade back for him if vegas takes him
