Trading carrick, a pick, plus for a 24-26 year-old solid young dman with a controllable contract make sense.

Trading a developing player in carrick for a 34year-old declining dman makes zero sense.

the only player in the lineup that came from a trade since LouLams took over is Andersen

the only players in the lineup from FA signings are Martin, Marincin, Polak, and Hunwick

Other than Andersen I would not call any of these guys core players.

There were multiple bad calls against Dallas last night. Kadri's hook was soft as hell too but Toronto still came out on the winning side of the calls. Good.
