Alright I'll go through these once more.
1) Canucks will not make the playoffs. You can call it speculation, we can make a bet. Whatever you want, there is an over 90% we don't make the playoffs and watching this team I'll take those odds.
2) Hansen, Burrows, Tanev or Edler are all movable. For various reasons, but mostly because they have playoff experience.
3) Waiting for "good drafts" is all fine and good, but the truth is: every draft is good, and we have a GM that specializes in scouting/drafting so trading for picks seems like the soundest strategy to get better. - neem55
The speculation is on if there will be trades. I never once mentioned playoffs. You are assuming a position or topic not made.
Those players have value no doubt. If and can they be moved is the speculative part. More picks would be nice. |

Markstrom looking a little rusty. Sedins looking slower every game now... - boonerbuck
Yeah. Guess the sit him out rotation strategy will now get overplayed.
Now that team seemed all healthy minus Guddy you have Sven down. Couldn't it be Danny? At least then we could all be spared the Sedin comments. |

Buying out of 1 player at $7 million/ is $2.333 333 next season x 2.
1st season save$9,333,333
2nd season - $4,666,666
Would you do it? |

nah.
Edit. On a side note, I am into Canucks not spending to the cap while they rebuild. I think Lamarello has really done a great job of showing how you can take on poop contracts in order to get picks, but you need the space to do that. I realize I was literally canning how bad it is that the laffs have 20 million on non-roster guys this year like yesterday or the day before, but considering they got three 2nd round picks for that and some expiring contracts... seems like a pretty good avenue to explore. |

It would just encourage JB to sign another two LEs. Better to draft top prospects to complement Bo and young D. |

Bart has a concussion. Boucher should get a shot in the next game. Xmas came early for one special HB poster. |

In a way, we needed to know sooner rather than later how Baer comes back from getting hit. It was bound to happen with him playing top-6. If he comes back and plays well, thats a good sign. Ask Coho, sometimes all you need is one good one and you don't go in the tough areas anymore. |

He'd be interesting. Though wouldn't you have to waive someone to get him up here? Does putting Sven on LTIR solve that? Would they want to? I wonder if the spotter rules got Sven sat out for this game? They were pretty forthcoming on injury instead of usual upper body comment. |

Probably no one cares but Rodin announced for surgery gone 6 months. Knowing him might be a year. Being injured do Nucks retain his rights? It's been pointed out he should be a UFA now. Oh well. Kid never got a chance. Hope he recovers his hockey career. |
